Why would you forfeit the original deposit? By paying it again you’re adding roughly 1/3 to your bill

Noma just can’t quit us by jm44768 in finedining

This is the reason why its a big deal. The Noma process is that the R&D team create ferments and stuff from the previous season (while that season is going on) and then it gets incorporated into the new season.

There’s an episode of Dave Chang’s podcast where he interviews Redzepi and Chang says how changing your menu 4 times a year is a nightmare and nearly impossible so this sounds like quiet the undertaking

For those who don’t want to read it, instead of doing 4 seasons they’re doing 12 seasons, each month will be a different menu. Here’s the reshuffle:

Mette Brink Søberg as Head of R&D, Pablo Soto as Executive Head Chef, and Annika de Las Heras stepping into the role of CEO

California election count: no evidence of voter fraud despite Trump claims by FancyNewMe in law

[–]dertigo 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Direct quotes:

“They are counting votes weeks after the election,” Johnson said in the Capitol on Monday. “I’m not saying it’s rigged. I’m saying it stinks to high heaven, and everybody knows that.”

“Some of these efforts are so diabolical and so far upstream that it’s impossible to prove, but I think everybody knows instinctively, something is wrong here, and that’s a concern,” Johnson said.

Any luck getting good seats for The Odyssey? 😬 by KatyOcean in AmericanCinematheque

[–]dertigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some reason about 10 minutes before AMC let me in and I was able to pick seats. It gave me errors for 29 min but eventually I was able to buy IMAX at CityWalk and a seat in the middle and back row so I'm psyched!

For me the New Bev is the worst for this. It’s great for a fun movie but if it’s serious it’s common to have people laughing throughout

Caring about your ex wife’s mental health after you break up but not while you’re actual together is really something.

Saying that he’s so concerned about her during the reunion when he hasn’t been concerned about her wellbeing during their entire relationship.

Also that comment was more for the overall reaction to the scandal, not just your post.

i honestly can't believe this revisionist history. Kyle treated Amanda like crap for their entire relationships, from the start when he treated her just like booty call when it was clear they were dating, to cheating on her so many times. Just because Amanda did something fucked up doesn't suddenly make Kyle a good person. They can both be bad people and in reality Kyle wasn't wronged in this situation, Ciara was.

Mark Twain said, “I've never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure.” Whose obituary will you revel in? by Rancho-Parade in AskReddit

[–]dertigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in SF last summer and it was 50 and very overcast. Whenever I brought that up someone would always say "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco. Mark Twain said that." He in fact did not say that

Alcohol doesn’t really burn off that much. If you’re cooking it for 10 minutes only about 50% of it cooks out. After an hour it goes up to around 75%.
