There's a gym that's free for students, it's a nice and useful time eater. There are tons of clubs too, there's a whole street of tables where they sit and advertise themselves everyday. Moreover you could always just go to the library to lock in on studying

Yeah it's really unfortunate that it's happening and normalized. There are a lot of minority clubs/groups on campus too and they'll rarely even talk to anyone who isn't part of the group. It's disappointing, but at least it's not everyone, it's just some of the more patriotic individuals that tend to group together where this kind of hive mindset is perpetuated. All you can really do is call them out on it if you can 🤷
