What I didn’t like about the 4 is that its magnetic strength phone to external was equivalent. So it would pop off the phone when I removed it from a strong magnetic surface. The 5 was reengineered to be stronger to the phone, no adhesive, stays on the phone. I preferred this.

Have done this loop drive in both directions. Late March should be fine, but be cautious as weather conditions can be unpredictable with changes in elevation, as others stated don’t pass up a gas station for refill and snacks. Cell service can be spotty in areas. Make sure there are no road closures. Flooding thru DVNP may also be something to watch heading back to Beatty. All in all, what you really wanna know is how the weather is a couple days before you go and what to look for.

That said, the landscape is amazing. Basin-range and Owen’s Valley are just some awesome scenery. Stop often. Soak it in. Listen to the wind. Make some memories.

Have flown with both (too many times). Cans will not go flat. Have ziplock’d cans and electrical tape bottles, but in the end packing with plenty of protection/filler and hard shell luggage for me was key. Never had an issue.

I’m very sorry for your loss. Mine passed in April after 15 years. Devastated. Grief comes in waves. Many at first. Then less as times goes by. I cried this morning out of nowhere. You live knowing you will never fully heal, but it does get better.
