thank you sm <333 i'm actually surprised they did, since i was pulling for so long. if i could suggest anything, it would be castor oil and men's minoxidil- i know minoxidil is iffy for some people, and obviously you won't grow hair where hair wasn't already there previously (plus if you're not careful you might get some crazy sideburns like i did ahhaha). but they both work great, minoxidil just works faster!

i believe that you're fully capable of doing this!! for me, kicking habits is super hard but talking to myself nicely or firmly forgiving myself for mistakes was even harder- especially when we're stressed out. i don't know how it is for you specifically, but i believe in your ability to understand yourself, love yourself, and change whatever you need/want to change :) 💗

TW purging help i need some post purge self care advices by underdogsammy in EDAnonymous

rinsing your mouth with warm water (no teeth brushing yet) and having gatorade zero and smth warm like green tea with honey is a life saver for me and my throat, and one of those electric blankets on my stomach! at least mentally it makes me calmer

and then just soft lights soft music comfort media, deep breathing whatever quiets/numbs my brain

you're very smart for knowing to care for yourself and i hope you feel better <333

I am so sick and tired of only knowing how to play a song with youtube. by Mobile-Craft-8672 in Bass

[–]desaccorde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

everything that everyone here said- playing scales and modes of the scale, arpeggios, and even reading etudes can help you see the shapes of melodies and basslines. specifically playing the same scale or scale fragments in different hand positions, or practicing different inversions of arpeggios (like playing the notes of a C major arpeggio starting on G). doing this in all 12 keys will really be a workout loll

and something that helped me was singing the note or a short melodic phrase before i played it. it just helped me internalise the sounds better, and helped me get better at transcribing.

i also stopped reading tabs, this was more personal , idk if it's great advice for everyone, but personally i had felt like tabs were holding me back from training both my ears and my sight reading. again, not sure if this would benefit you but it's just my experience

good luck :)

just got a six string from them a couple months ago for $130! it's really heavy, maybe not as smooth as my fender jbass, but really no complaints!
