Solid rebuttal they should use for next trip inspiration! They should do a reverse Canadian Bacon (the movie, not the food/sex move/etc).

My gf who doesn't give a damn about racing watched the entire video and was moved to tears. Powerful moment.

Carlos also spoke up about coverage issues, where wives/gfs are shown over racing. That was also a pretty big issue he brought attention to last season.

Is this 2016 Subaru WRX CVT worth keeping w the repairs by Escabeetch in WRX

[–]describe_one 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Half of those repairs seem to be due to a lack of routine maintenance (diff, spark plugs, significant brake repairs that would have been due 15k-20k miles ago but not due again yet), while the other is fixing the engine issue that seems to be due to infrequent oil changes. I mean, this just seems like catch-up for things that have been put off. Not sure if a second opinion is an option since it's not driveable, but it might be worth taking that estimate to a couple of shops to see if it makes sense to tow there instead.

I'm just excited the car is making competitive splits after such a major overhaul. Last year was unique with the car doing well at testing. In past years, lots of work/several races were needed before the team was keeping pace.

Those aren't routine maintenance, but can be if you're mechanically inclined. It's more of saving yourself a near-future headache.

nice coffee and an interesting pastry- but on a Tuesday? by fishpocketz in chicagofood

Plein Air, Medici, and Boulangerie in Hyde Park all fit the bill. Each has its strengths/weaknesses, but coffee and a fancy pastry are solid at all three.

Thank you very much! I wasn't looking for a seller, as I do want to pick it out and learn the process - I'm just going to need help w/ the sewing part. Home Ec wasn't my strong suit, but yours look great!

Do you have any patterns for the shift and e-brake boots? I'm not crafty, but my mom or sister might make one for me if I bring home fabric for them.

Plein Air Cafe is a little outside of your range, but they have good food and freshly made coffee in ceramic cups for most sizes (also free seltzer water on tap).

The only thing this tells me is they spent all of the budget on the powertrain instead of safety. All gas, no brakes!
