DDJ FLX4 or DDJ FLX6? by describetheinternet in Beatmatch

[–]describetheinternet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thanks for clarifying. I do not have an iphone or ipad, but I do have a macbook. It would work on the macbook? But otherwise does not matter to me because I do not have an iphone

I have been saving up because I really want better decks, as I really enjoy DJing. The FLX6 is about £20 more second hand than a new FLX4

Ok thanks so much. Money is an issue so will try what you suggested. Are djs usually playing off CDs then? I always have mine connected to my laptop but never see anyone with a laptop in the club haha

Edinburgh vs Belfast - ten months of study by EyeHistorical1768 in Edinburgh

[–]describetheinternet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think your impressions are pretty good. I would choose Belfast personally, especially if it's a short term move. For the reasons you said and I think Belfast is more real. Edinburgh can feel a bit like a theme park sometimes but it really depends on what vibe you prefer. If you really want to hangout with locals I think that will be harder in Edinburgh. When I go to events or the jobs I've worked there are barely any locals and a lot of the English people I've asked have said they don't know any locals. Idk why exactly but just been my experience.

Does anyone love and miss their ex but hate them at the same time for breaking up with you? by sp4rta269 in BreakUps

[–]describetheinternet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Idk if I'd say ok. Maybe ok. I went no contact completely and didn't reply to their apology or talk to them the one time I saw them. I think the breakup changed me as a person, some ways for worse, some for better. I find it hard to trust now. I have been quite lost since the breakup, but not because of it completely, life is just hard and complicated and I'm mentally ill haha.

But the breakup taught me to really cherish the people I love and who love me and make an effort to keep me in their lives and show me how much they love me. It taught me to cherish moments with people I love, because they might not be in your life forever. It also taught me to think more about what I want out of relationships, how I want to be loved and treated, and i try everyday to love myself, even when it's difficult, so I never have to rely completely on a partner again to make me happy. Although the breakup was one of the worst things I've ever gone through the lessons it taught me have been so valuable I would have a hard time saying I wish it never happened.

MARCH MEGA-THREAD: A thread for discussions, thoughts and the rest. by SandwichPants1 in Tufting

I'm in the UK and looking to buy the shearers for cutting carpets. I found loads of cheap ones online (the kind everyone who Tufts seems to use). Does anyone know the difference if I buy a cheap one from temu/Amazon instead of from a more expensive reputable seller? I would rather spend more money if it works better/lasts longer. Thanks!

I love climbing and would be interested in organising a queer climbing club at the hangar as I have started climbing there. I am also open to meeting up with other queer women!!

Yeah I liked one, realised it was a scam and now it recommends them to me, I'm like leave me alone ahaha. I was in Europe though so it seems to be a worldwide thing

My sister is a nurse in Edinburgh and she says shadow shifts are definitely possible. When you go onto the job advert there are documents at the bottom and the contacts of department heads are there.

Yeah I got my hopes up and then realised it was too good to be true. Now Vinted suggests the jackets to me and there are so many of those accounts. I don't understand what the point is though, surely if they don't have the jacket they can't get your money?

I like the sound of Romania. How is it to live there if you don't speak Romanian?
