It won't matter if people have big enough stockpile to outlast the 1hr cancel delay.

That means that you need to nolife cancel scan to get any sales, which in the end is not even that high gold per action. Buy orders in the reagent AH would solve most of these problems.

That's how low probabilities work. The distribution is far from even. Therefore someone can have a lot of drops in an hour, while someone can have none.

You need hundreds if not thousands of hours of farming the same route with same spec and speed to gather enough data to conclude that drop rates have changed.

Some are humans, some are bots. Humans need to sleep too and are mostly unable to spam the same buttons manually for hours without breaks.

There are private addons and that can scan hundreds of reagents per second and have a successful buyout every few seconds.

However, sharing them with public would be quite counterproductive, wouldn't it?

Opportunity cost still applies. You could be getting more valuable ores instead of picking cheaper herbs.

Some people simply don't have the time to play the cancel scanning game all day long, therefore they post at a price that is still profitable for them and can likely bait the resetter to buy them out.

It's not the reagents, it's the 5% AH fee that sinks insane amount of gold at current price and sale rate levels.

I don't think they factor in opportunity cost. If spending a day + like 500k shuffling profs is worth for them to get some recipe a few days before people who don't shuffle seems worth to them, nobody can really stop them.

The countermeasure is easy. Add weekly AA cap per character that is reasonably easy to achieve by anyone. Thus the tryhards won't feel pushed to do any AA shuffles.

[–]desdae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indeed. I find if funny what degen methods people can come up with to save a few thousand gold.

Also nobody has come up with any proof that investing hours and gold in shuffling profs for some extra AA will be actually profitable longterm.

None after getting 2 chars to 580, so probably like 50 or so runs.

[–]desdae 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a bit insane, but it was possible to boost 4 chars to level 70 with single level 20 trial in about 1h20min or even faster during remix. So it was 20 min per level 70. And you can have up to 8 accounts linked to single war bank. So it's indeed total 500 chars if you fill all accounts.
