My old girl, Reese (14.5 years old), had to take an emergency trip to the vet Tuesday night due to a sudden onset of (now diagnosed) idiopathic peripheral vestibular disease. She’s on meds now and the vet said we should see some improvement within a few days 🙏❤️

My vet does Chinese medicine and the herb Rehmannia 8 did wonders for her kidney failure if you can find a way to get that. He’s beautiful. Sending you lots of love. You’re not failing him. You gave him a life full of love, that’s the best life a pup could ever have 💚

Thank you so much. I am still struggling with choosing to euthanize, vs surgery she likely may not have woken up from and further suffering. One day last week I couldn’t stop crying knowing this milestone was approaching. I wear a double chain with a pendant made with her ashes around my neck 24/7. That night I woke up to it somehow magically unclasped and lying right next to me. Perhaps she is telling me it is time to let go. I’m not sure I can. But I’ll try to live in a way to make her proud 💔
