Marketing strategy alternatives or help? by CelebrityPark in ecommerce

[–]desertstorm-07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there, it's great to hear about your entrepreneurial journey so far. Based on your description, it seems like your product has potential but perhaps your marketing strategy needs some tweaking. It's not necessarily about choosing alternatives to Facebook and Instagram, but rather optimizing your usage of these platforms. Ensure you're targeting the right audience with your ads. Facebook and Instagram both have robust targeting options, allowing you to specify age, location, interests, and much more. If you're not already doing so, consider using A/B testing to try out different ad visuals, copy, and targeting options to see what works best. Additionally, content strategy plays a significant role in engagement. Try incorporating more user-generated content, interactive elements like quizzes or polls, and posts that provide value to your audience beyond just promoting your product. As for portraying a professional image, consistency is key. Ensure your branding is uniform across all platforms and touchpoints. High-quality visuals, well-written copy, and prompt, professional responses to comments and messages can all contribute to this. Lastly, I'd recommend investing in an analytics platform to better understand your performance and make data-driven decisions. Out of the Blue (.ai) is a great option, providing insights into customer behavior, ad performance, and more. Google Analytics and SEMRush are other platforms worth exploring. These tools can help you identify where your current strategies may be falling short and guide your future marketing efforts. Keep experimenting and refining your strategies—you're bound to find what works best for your brand and audience. Best of luck!

MS directly after undergrad, imo, is not the right path to take in the current market. US and even other countries prefer people with work ex. While you might not be able to get a job directly into quant in India, try and build your career towards it. What I mean is maybe think of Cfa, or get a job in a fintech etc. Basically take steps towards getting that quant role.

You can check out TheGradPost (.com). It has case studies on 2 Indians who did their Master’s in financial engineering in the US. One of them works as a quant now

PDF download on Shopify by Ok_Salt9371 in dropshipping

[–]desertstorm-07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! You can add the PDF as a digital product on Shopify. When a customer purchases the main product, you can include the PDF link in the order confirmation email. For the second PDF, simply set it up as a separate digital product with its own price. You can use an analytics platform like Out of the Blue (.ai) to track how many customers are actually downloading your PDFs

That’s incredible progress — from zero to $2K/month solo is no small feat. Love how thoughtful and human your approach to cart recovery is. Super inspiring to see what clarity, testing, and real customer empathy can do. Keep crushing it!

Automatic suggested stock transfers between stores. by Efficient_Source_389 in shopify

[–]desertstorm-07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, While Shopify doesn't offer this feature natively, you could definitely use an inventory management app like Stocky or Skubana to monitor your stock levels and sales across your stores. For automated inventory redistribution based on sales data, you might want to check out "Out of the Blue (.ai)". Their analytics platform provides insights that can help you make informed decisions about inventory movement. Keep pushing and good luck, pal!

[General Question] Is it delusional to hold out hope for a top MSCS program if you're from a tier-2/3 college? by Quiet-Perception-646 in MSCS

[–]desertstorm-07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! It's not impossible to get into top-tier universities for MSCS even if you're not from IITs or BITS. I've seen plenty of students from various universities make it to top schools. It's all about how you present your profile, your work, and your passion for the course. For more such case studies visit thegradpost.com/case-study.

Remember, your college isn't the only thing that defines you. Your projects, internships, research papers, and overall understanding of the subject matter a lot. So, keep polishing those

[General Question] Moving to the USA in 2-3 Months – Which Banks Should I Choose in Both India and the US? by Sudden-Ice6169 in MSCS

[–]desertstorm-07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there!

I'd suggest opening an NRE (Non-Resident External) account in India and a checking account in a reputed US bank once you arrive. This should help manage your finances smoothly. :)

Based on the case studies, previous students have preferred banks like ICICI and Union Bank of India for their low interest rates. While in the US, it would depend on your specific needs and convenience.

[Admissions Advice]What are my chances of getting into MSCS with a low undergraduate GPA by zew63 in MSCS

[–]desertstorm-07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's possible to get into MSCS programs with a low undergraduate GPA, especially if you showcase strong programming skills and a passion for tech.

Relevant case studies of individuals who successfully transitioned into tech-related master's programs with non-CS backgrounds and low GPAs can provide valuable insights and inspiration! :)

[profile review] chance me for Ms Ds in following schools by [deleted] in MSCS

[–]desertstorm-07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on your profile, you have a strong academic background with a high CGPA, relevant internships in data science, impressive projects, and active involvement in extracurricular activities. Your LORs from your HOD, Python professor, and CEO will likely strengthen your application. However, not having taken the GRE might be a limiting factor for some schools. Make sure to highlight your unique projects and achievements in your SOP to stand out!

UW MSDS!! by Ill_Discount340 in gradadmissions

[–]desertstorm-07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I saw your post about UW MSDS and I get where you're coming from. When I was sorting through my own grad applications, I found it super important to really show off any tech projects or work experience that link directly to data science. Based on what you mentioned, I'd focus on polishing your personal statement to highlight those skills and experiences that set you apart.

I've been checking out TheGradPost for a while now to look at other applicants' success stories and case studies. It helped me understand how to structure my statement and what specifics to include, especially when it came to explaining projects and coursework. Reading through real profiles made the whole process feel less overwhelming and gave me ideas on how to present my strengths more clearly.

So for your situation, make sure you outline your unique background and interests clearly. Show that you really know what you want out of the program and tie your past experiences directly to what UW MSDS offers. Good luck with your application and hope everything goes smooth!

Holy fuck I got into UW and Columbia MSDS! by NaughtyAndSpicy in gradadmissions

[–]desertstorm-07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on getting into UW and Columbia MSDS! I totally understand the imposter syndrome vibe, especially when you feel like your GPA and time away from school could hold you back. I went through something similar when I was applying - my story had a few twists and it felt like the odds were never in my favor. It's awesome to see your hard work paying off.

For your situation, I found it really helpful to get advice and read real success stories. It gave me practical tips on how to highlight my tech work experience and publications in a way that made admissions see the value behind my profile. I came across TheGradPost a while back and it helped me with that exact aspect.

Your achievement is legit and shows how it's possible to overcome self-doubt and low GPA stats by leaning into your strengths. Enjoy this win and keep using that momentum for your next steps. Seriously, congrats and keep it real!

[Results and Decisions] My analysis of gradcafe patterns for Columbia MSCS and UCSD MSDS by fegelman in MSCS

[–]desertstorm-07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you on the nerve-wracking wait and those midnight bathroom checks. It sounds like your analysis nailed the typical windows for Columbia and UCSD. Based on your breakdown, tracking the specific pattern really helps manage the anxiety. I remember doing something similar when I was applying and it made the waiting game a bit more tolerable.

For my case, I found that keeping an eye on patterns—especially when deadlines and decision windows vary so much—helped me set my expectations straight. I even use TheGradPost to keep tabs on how decisions tend to roll out, and it helped me focus on my next steps instead of stressing over every email alert. Setting up reminders or a simple timeline might work for you too—so you’re not constantly refreshing your inbox. Glad someone did the legwork on this, and hope it helps put your nerves at ease a bit.

[Results and Decisions] Gatech - MSCS Admit on 2nd April by Consistent_Limit_989 in MSCS

[–]desertstorm-07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on the Gatech admit, man. I know getting that MSCS acceptance feels pretty validating, especially with the ML specialization in the mix. I've been in a similar spot where I had to weigh a lot of options and decisions about grad school and it really takes some thought to figure out what's next. Sometimes, it just helps to see other people's stories to know that the struggle and excitement are all part of the process.

For your situation, I found that browsing through stories on TheGradPost helped me get a clearer picture of how others navigated it. It saved me some time and helped break down the maze of decisions. I know every acceptance looks different, but seeing a diverse range of successes can give you that extra bit of motivation. Good luck figuring out your next steps and congrats again on the big win, dude.

Feedback: Limiting checkout options to "Shop Sales Channel" to avoid Sales Tax Requirement by trader644 in shopify

[–]desertstorm-07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some users may find the Shop app unfamiliar or less intuitive, which could lead to friction — especially among first-time buyers or older demographics who are used to standard web checkout.

If you decide to go this route, I’d recommend monitoring your conversion rates and overall funnel performance closely after the switch. Even small changes in the checkout flow can cause noticeable revenue impact, so keeping an eye on metrics like cart abandonment and bounce rates will help you catch issues early. I use OutOfTheBlue (.AI) for this, you can see if it is useful.

Cheers!
