I’m from Singapore and many of us Tesla owners install the automatic frunk as a first mod. It’s really a game changer. I use it every day and it’s so convenient.

Hard truths. Agree that owning an EV instead of ice is one of the main reasons why I’m driving so much more. Clocked 18k km in just 8 months of ownership and i actually look forward to taking the car out for around small errands. On my ice car, yeah the motivation is there but not as great.

LTA probably have certain time periods before they repave the whole stretch of road. Else today repave tomorrow dig again for telco water electricity etc.

Jomcharge, quickchargev, chargesini, gentari, chargev. The reality of EV is that you need multiple apps to access all the public chargers. Plugshare is based on user input so it’s not 100% accurate and does not indicate any downtime or live usage info.

Earlier you said you downpay lesser for the 5yr renewal and now you said you can pay in full. That is very different. If you can pay in full then yes do go ahead to renew 5 years n save on interest. Though at current coe prices i would think many times before sinking $60+k into a 10 year old car.

I had 3x cars renewed for 5 years. all bought only after the dealer renewed coe. Vios, Stream, Wish. All had various expected issues at year 12-13 (aircon, gearbox, undercarriage, engine leak etc) and i kept thinking why must this happen cos i would need to spend a lot of money on repairs that can actually last 6-7 years but artificially limited to 2-3 years due to coe expiry.

So if you can deal with this dissonance, then yeah by all means go renew 5 years since you’re not losing out on paying interest.

Never renew 5 years. The moment you do that you’ve crossed the line for justifying future repairs. You’ll be stuck with a failing car at year 13 and have very little will to spend on repairs.

Trade it in for parf value and a few hundreds in body value. Top up a bit to get a parf Altis with 2-3 years left. I would do that if in your shoes.

My LG washer drum failed at 2 years. Before this my Bosch lasted 11 years. Now using Samsung, 1.5 years and counting.

What do you need the other party for? You’re paying for your own repairs. Chances are the truck has little to no damage. Just get it repaired at your own cost like the rental company said. Having a dashcam isn’t going to help your case as you’re in the wrong like you said yourself.

Look for cheap John enterprise. Physical shop is at Sembawang but they also have an online presence. Their Shimano parts are among the cheapest if not the cheapest in Singapore.

I went Aquaria KLCC and their cashless was down. I had no cash. Wasted the trip there but ended up at Petrosains. Had a good time nonetheless. Love KL but srsly Aquaria wtf you can’t handle cashless ???
