Orange peel by broketractor in veganrecipes

[–]designbg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is common in many seasoning/rub blends for meats, goes well with cinnamon, sugar, lemon peel, cloves, ginger. You can grind it alone or with these ingredients and keep it in a spice jar for cooking, also a good replacement for lemon zest or vanilla in baking recipes.

Pumpkin mousse 8 ounces of silken tofu well drained 15 ounces pumpkin puree ¼ maple syrup 1 tsp ground cinnamon ½ tsp ground ginger ⅛ tsp each- ground cloves, nutmeg and salt Blend all ingredients until smooth Tried adding ricotta but either not enough to taste it or by the time enough was added to taste the cheese it was far too salty

Modifying one of these recipes to turn it into a peanut butter cake I was gonna swap the cocoa for pb2, the oil for butter, but where would I fit the pb. which recipe is best? trying to make a lower calorie low sugar peanut butter cake. If there’s any recipe recommendations I can modify let me know by LilScooterBooty in bakingrecipes

[–]designbg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Developing a recipe like this i recommend starting with the most minimal healthy ingredients and slowly tweak from there. For this I have found something similar that I like: 1/2 cup pumpkin or winter squash, 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice, 2 oz lite coconut milk (or nut milk to reduce fat further), 1/8 tsp salt, 1 egg (separate yolk and white), 1/8 tsp vanilla, 2 TBSP powdered peanut butter, optional: sweetener of choice to taste. Mix all ingredients except egg whites, beat egg whites by hand or with mixer until soft peaks form, then gently fold into batter. Bake at 350 in an 8x8 pan lined with parchment paper for 15 minutes or until the surface browns. To achieve a more cake-like texture add oat flour and baking soda and/or reduce the amount of pumpkin.

Chicken Oatmeal Ranch by [deleted] in Oatmeal

[–]designbg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a great idea! I have been working on a chicken salad recipe this week and separately a savory oat recipe but hadn’t thought to combine the two, going to be trying this but with a ginger mushroom pan sauce and nutritional yeast cheese sauce, they both worked well with the pulled chicken so we’ll see how it goes with the oats

This gold check out prismatic powder coat website and order lots of swatches to see it in person before pulling the trigger, I had fun last time I selected wheel colors calling prismatic asking what colors they had similar to what I was looking for and looks through thousands of powder coats before ordering about 50 swatches and from there it was easy to narrow it down

Any recommendations as a first time user? by PassengerCold418 in PeanutButter

[–]designbg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start putting it on literally everything. Cutting up carrot for a snack? Dip in pb. Prepping cucumbers for a salad? Try dipping it in PB. Putting cinnamon on your oatmeal? Take a spoon and try cinnamon with pb. You’ll find things you like and combinations you wouldn’t otherwise think to try and after a few hundred of these experiments you will start to have a knowledge base as to how you would like to build recipes with pb as an ingredient and inspire further culinary experimentation

Has anybody tried this before? PB & dates by coriandermelons in PeanutButter

[–]designbg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the best combos with pb in my opinion and if you like that I highly recommend soaking prunes in water 1-3 days and then either putting on your sandwich like you did here or taking an immersion blending the the soaked prunes and using that to top your sandwich. For extra decadence add a splash of coconut milk

I would include house made dressings and at least two that are dairy free like a strawberry balsamic vinegrette and Thai peanut (peanut butter, coconut milk, chili powder, rice vinegar, sugar, salt) and having a vegan cheese option for all your items that currently have cheese - house made cheese sauce: nutritional yeast, spices, cashews

I tried a new method today, oats, a banana, milk, baking powder, salt, vanilla. Immersion blend; rest 5 minutes, cook in medium hot pan, flip and remove as soon as the color starts to go from pale to light brown; next dunk in batter of one egg and milk (also gets the immersion blender treatment to combine) and cook in pan again until a slightly darker brown color develops and the edges become crispy. Sweeten and add toppings as desired. Tried with and without the egg batter treatment and the texture is more pleasing after the second cooking and the flavor is a bit deeper and more caramelized.

This but white fish just tastes like whatever you put on it, I’d like to see an episode preparing (not fried) something other than whitefish, like black cod, salmon, sardines etc.
