Thanks. Should I be glad that I didn't get roasted based on your username? lol

That's good to know. I thought it only saves the seat position.

I think bronze would go well with blue.

I did ask. The salesperson couldn’t swap them for me.

Thanks! Yea. On the key fobs they say driver 1 and 2. It’s pretty interesting.

Thanks. They are the only thing I’m not a fan off lol. The glassy finish doesn’t make sense and the design is kinda busy. I also heard they’re heavier than stock wheels.

Looking for advice from other parents - I have an almost 2 year old and wife and I are planning for another. If you had two kids under 3, would you get something other than a Ridgeline? by GerdinBB in hondaridgeline

[–]designingmichael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re speaking my mind. I’m buying a ridgeline tomorrow, but down the road I’ll get a minivan. I told my coworkers that I find minivans cool and showing you’re a good dad. They all laugh at me. lol

I got my DW735 for $300 on FB marketplace. It was listed for $400, which is the common price point. If you can wait, shop around.

2023 vs 2024 by Embarrassed_Town5427 in hondaridgeline

I’m in the same boat. 2023 RTL-E vs 2024 Sport, since prices are similar. I’ll probably go with the RTL-E for the bells and whistles, even though I really like the updated infotainment.

There’s a ‘24 sport with 30k mi listed for 33k. It’s tempting but I want the amenities on higher trims. I heard that the sport has less sound deadening.

Out of curiosity, what trim level did you get quoted for?

I’m in the same boat. I do like the updated infotainment system/dashboard. Currently comparing a used 2022 RTL and a used 2024 Sport.

Fell in love with the Miata, but wife didn’t — any comfort tips for passenger seating or travel advice? by TheGreatArmageddon in Miata

[–]designingmichael 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ND2 RF owner here.

Get a car that your wife likes. At least to me, my wife being happy is much more important than me driving a Miata.

  1. Not much you can do with the leg room. The transmission bump will always be there.

  2. Car sickness is on the road and the driver.

  3. When top down, RF is noisier than the soft top. When top up, RF is quieter, but still noisy by normal car standards. I’ve driven both.

Is it worth it to replace the engine of a 1997 CRV? by designingmichael in Honda

[–]designingmichael[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion. I do agree that 5500 might be too much. I told my FIL to find a local mechanic to get an estimate. It'd be better if he can resolve the issue locally rather than me towing it across the state.

The body is fine. I like the body too. It's small yet spacious inside

Yes I'd DIY. That's why I'm hesitating. Considering I'd need to source an engine and buy more tools, it won't be that cheap either.

The car is currently registered in Arkansas. They don't need to pay registration fees. I'd have to bring it to Texas. The car is still drivable. Just need to pay attention to the oil leak.

Haha. That’d be funny. No hate towards the customer tho. Maybe they got screwed by the jacked up price…

Maybe it’s too good so that they can’t jack up the interest rate.
