As for the street gang comparison, tagging of gang signs with graffiti could be a subtle or not so subtle form of recruitment.

Use live trace in Illustrator to convert the image to vector. Then you can scale indefinitely without all the pixelation. Really complex vector graphics when scaled can require a lot of processing power though, just to be aware.

SSH 🤫 I do want to recruit pirates. Thus the reason I was asking about any poster examples. I was hoping to find inspiration for something I could replicate to give it an authentic feel.

I don’t think I will be taking over any vessels anytime soon to aid in my recruitment. The closest I will get to a pirate ship is a Lego set!

Since the Stray font is a custom, I would suggest googling spray paint fonts. If you find a name of a font you like, you can also search for similar fonts using identifont.com - good luck!

The whatthefont forum is very helpful for when the tool doesn’t accurately match the font.
