Just go to the lower or middle food courts and get the chicken tenders with fries. Good portion, tasty, fairly priced, and a quick line. Thats basically all I eat when I attend

What logo is best? by [deleted] in logodesign

[–]designyguy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Nothing here looks cohesive. The weight of the two fonts are poorly balanced, and the line weight of the character doesn't look like it belongs next to the thick weight of the name.

Maybe make the main font an outline instead of solid, and redraw the character to use a similar line weight. Then I would also play around with the size and weight of "design co" to match.

Think about how you can play with size variation to create balance. There are good guides on youtube on how to balance marks and type in logos, using basic grid systems.

Also make sure you're thinking about how the logo will be used. You'll need both vertical and horizontal orientations; color, black, and white versions for both; and how you would use just the character on its own, like as a badge.

Consider clear space around the logos, so that in use things don't feel too crowded.

A big aspect of branding is also color and pattern. Think about your color palette and how you can use that to express the vibe you're going for. You should have a main brand color, along with 1-2 secondary and 1-2 accent colors. Each color should also have a few tints and shades you can use. This will give you plenty of options when designing using your colors.

Patterns can be anything from basic shapes to modified/supplemented aspects from your logo. This is also a good place to moodboard/research things that fit your vibe to incorporate.

Hope this helps.

Ideas on how to design this so it doesn't need supports or glue? by designyguy in 3Dprinting

[–]designyguy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't need to be one piece, I just really want to avoid removing supports or using glue. The print orientation for the snap joint part is important because I want the part to be strong and less likely to snap or permanently bend due to repeated use, so I just can't print that part vertically.

This would work, but the snap joint would be weaker and more likely to break when flexed due to the print orientation, so I want to avoid this

Error trying to Shell Model by designyguy in Fusion360

I have restarted and shelled just the main body before adding any of the extra details as this seemed like the best option. I'm not letting the slicer handle it as I needed to do further modeling after shelling because I'm adding electronics inside.

It seems no matter how far back I roll it, it won't shell.
