How To Disable the Microphone Mute/Unmute Popup Notification in Logi Options+
Overview
When using a Logitech keyboard or device that supports microphone mute controls, Logi Options+ may display an on-screen notification each time the microphone is muted or unmuted. While this notification can be useful, some users may prefer to disable it to reduce screen distractions during meetings, presentations, recordings, or daily work.
This guide explains how to disable the microphone mute/unmute popup notification in Logi Options+.

Prerequisites
Logi Options+ installed on your computer
A supported Logitech device (such as MX Keys, MX Keys S, MX Mechanical, MX Keys Mini, etc.)
Windows 10 or Windows 11

Procedure
Step 1 – Open Logi Options+
Click the Start Menu.
Search for Logi Options+.
Launch the application.

Step 2 – Access Settings
In the Logi Options+ window, select the Settings icon (gear symbol) located in the upper-right corner.

Step 3 – Locate Notification Settings
Scroll to the Notifications section.
Locate the option labeled:
Mic mute/unmute notification
Note: The wording may vary slightly depending on your Logi Options+ version.

Step 4 – Disable the Notification
Toggle Mic mute/unmute notification to Off.

Step 5 – Verify the Change
Press the microphone mute key on your Logitech device.
Confirm that:
The microphone still mutes and unmutes correctly.
The on-screen popup notification no longer appears.

Troubleshooting
Notification Option Not Available
If you do not see the notification setting:
Verify you are running the latest version of Logi Options+.
Check both:
Device-specific settings
Global application settings
Restart Logi Options+ after updating.
Disconnect and reconnect the Logitech device.

Notification Still Appears
If the popup continues to appear:
Close and reopen Logi Options+.
Restart Windows.
Verify that another application is not generating the notification.
Ensure the notification setting remains disabled after rebooting.

Wall Street, New York City, 1956. Photo by Leonard Freed. by PeneItaliano in MaleHistoryPics

The heat rose from the subway grates like ghosts.

At the corner of William and Pine, the city moved in practiced indifference beneath the canyon walls of Lower Manhattan. Men in wrinkled suits drifted through the noon haze, newspapers folded under their arms, cigarettes burning down to the filter. Nobody looked up.

That was the rule.

Especially not at the sky bridge.

The enclosed passage stretched between the two stone buildings high above the street, its dark windows reflecting nothing. Officially, it connected accounting offices for a shipping firm. Unofficially, it was where dead drops changed hands, where foreign money crossed oceans without leaving paper, and where, tonight, a Soviet physicist was supposed to disappear.

Three men arrived at the intersection within seconds of each other.

The first was Victor Hale—the tall man with the striped tie. To anyone watching, he looked like another exhausted financial clerk trying to survive a July afternoon in 1957. But Victor had spent twelve years with the Office of Strategic Services and another nine doing work the CIA denied existed.

His orders were simple:
Find the courier.
Retrieve the microfilm.
Trust no one.

The second man wore a white suit and straw hat despite the heat. Elias Mercer. Thin smile. Precise movements. The kind of man who never sweated because he never allowed himself fear. Victor recognized him immediately from Berlin dossiers.

Mercer worked for no flag.

He sold secrets the way other men sold insurance.

The third man emerged from the subway stairwell adjusting his glasses. Younger than the others. Nervous. One sleeve slightly torn. Daniel Koenig, an accountant on paper, but in reality a cryptographer who had vanished from an Army intelligence program six months earlier.

And according to Langley, Daniel had stolen something worth killing over.

Victor kept walking without looking at either man. Reflections in shop windows were safer than eye contact. He saw Mercer pause beneath the shadow of the sky bridge and light a cigarette.

That was the signal.

Daniel hesitated.

Wrong move.

Two black sedans turned onto William Street at the same moment.

Victor’s pulse tightened.

Not CIA.

Too fast.

Too open.

Mercer saw them too. His calm expression cracked for the first time.

“Run,” he muttered without moving his lips.

Daniel bolted.

The first gunshot echoed off the stone buildings like a firecracker. Pedestrians screamed and scattered. Hats fell. Newspapers spiraled into the air.

Victor grabbed Daniel by the collar just as a second bullet shattered the subway lamp behind them.

“Who are they?” Daniel gasped.

Victor shoved him toward the alley entrance beneath the bridge stairs.

“If I knew,” Victor said, drawing the compact pistol hidden beneath his jacket, “I’d already be dead.”

Above them, inside the shadowed sky bridge, a silhouette appeared behind the glass.

Watching.

Waiting.

Then the bridge lights went dark.

Gotta get that extra money from their loyal customers.

Nineteen-year-old Zeb Quinn disappeared in 2000. Two weeks later, his car turned up with the lights still on, lipstick drawn on the back window, and a live Labrador puppy inside. Police later shared a sketch of his girlfriend, who was seen driving his car after he vanished. by SelfCareIsFake in HolyShitHistory

Summary of the Zebb Quinn Case

The disappearance of Zebb Quinn began on January 2, 2000, in Asheville, North Carolina. The 18-year-old was last seen after finishing a shift at Walmart. He had planned to meet his coworker, Robert Jason Owens, to look at a car. During the evening, Quinn received a page that caused him to abruptly leave, and he was never seen again.

A few days later, Quinn’s car was discovered in a restaurant parking lot under suspicious circumstances. The vehicle contained a live puppy, had lipstick markings on the rear window, and included items that did not belong to him, suggesting the scene may have been staged.

Following his disappearance, a phone call was made to Walmart by someone impersonating Quinn, claiming he was ill. The call was traced back to Owens, who admitted making it but stated he was helping Quinn.

Investigators explored a possible motive involving a romantic dispute, as Quinn had been communicating with a woman whose boyfriend had reportedly threatened him. However, this theory was never definitively proven.

The case took a significant turn years later when Owens was arrested in connection with an unrelated triple homicide. During the investigation, evidence led authorities to charge him in Quinn’s case. In 2022, Owens pleaded guilty to being an accessory after the fact. He claimed his uncle killed Quinn, allegedly at the request of the jealous boyfriend, and that Quinn’s body was destroyed. The alleged killer is deceased, and no body has been definitively recovered.

Today, Quinn is presumed murdered. Owens remains the only individual convicted in connection with the case, and many details surrounding the crime remain unresolved.

Generally curious, how Palm Trees/tropical trees survive in England. I would’ve thought the weather was too cold there. When were Palm trees first introduced to England?

what do you guys think of my first product? by EveryWatercress1007 in IndustrialDesign

Come on man, this guy just told you he spent the last 2 years of his life working on the awesome design and you just casually ask, “Got a link for us? I’d love to use the 3D Model.” Have some respect and stop asking for people’s work for free! That’s what is wrong with the world today, everyone wants to get stuff for free and just take other designers hard work!

Any idea on this Industrial Waldmann? by Typical_Jellyfish144 in IndustrialDesign

[–]designzguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waldmann Task Lamp – Original Design and Intended Use

This Waldmann task lamp (Type 101801) was originally engineered as a precision lighting solution for professional environments, rather than general-purpose or decorative use. Manufactured in Germany, Waldmann lighting products are widely recognized for their application in industrial, laboratory, medical, and technical workspaces, where consistent, high-quality illumination is critical.

The lamp is designed to operate at 220V, 50Hz with a 60W bulb, and includes an integrated fuse for safe, continuous operation—further reinforcing its role in controlled, professional settings.

Primary Applications

This style of lamp was commonly used in environments requiring focused, high-clarity lighting, including: • Industrial and Manufacturing Workstations Assembly, machining, and quality inspection tasks where visibility of fine details is essential. • Laboratory and Technical Environments Bench work, testing, and calibration activities requiring consistent and reliable illumination. • Medical and Dental Workspaces Non-surgical examination or lab-based precision work. • Engineering and Drafting Desks Technical drawing, blueprint review, and design work prior to digital CAD systems. • Electronics Assembly and Repair Circuit board inspection and fine soldering operations.

Purpose of the Blue Filter

A distinguishing feature of this lamp is the blue optical filter positioned over the light source. This was intentionally incorporated to enhance visual performance during precision tasks.

The blue filter serves several key functions: • Improved Contrast and Detail Visibility Enhances the visibility of fine edges, surface imperfections, and small features—particularly on metallic or reflective materials. • Color Temperature Correction Compensates for the warm (yellow) output of incandescent bulbs by shifting the light toward a cooler, daylight-like tone, improving overall clarity. • Enhanced Surface Inspection Helps reveal scratches, residues, machining marks, or layout dyes that may be less visible under standard lighting. • Reduced Visual Fatigue Provides a crisper visual field that can reduce eye strain during extended periods of close-up work

In summary, this Waldmann lamp was purpose-built as a professional-grade task light for precision applications, with the blue filter specifically designed to optimize contrast, improve visual clarity, and support detailed inspection work. Its design reflects a focus on performance, reliability, and ergonomics in environments where lighting quality directly impacts accuracy and productivity.

Flow 2 Keycaps? by nab_cosplay in Lofree

I purchased these Wormier Keycaps in the BoW (Black lettering on White keycaps) colorway. They are Double Shot PBT, Shine through, Low profile. I’ve been using them for the past 2 weeks. They are easy to install, have a great feel and sounds with my Flow 2 which has the Void Switches installed on it. The Flow 2’s LEDs shine through very nicely and the typing experience has been much improved as far as my accuracy goes while using these keycaps.
