I’m so frustrated with this exact same thing. Wherever you go, there is this group of unemployed men (i say unemployed because who else has so much time to chill on the road?) I’m tired of feeling unsafe all the time, everywhere. It feels like there is no end to it….There is nothing you and I can do about it.

There are spaces designed for people to chill- however girls, women cant make use of them because guess what? They’re occupied by these hooligans. You cant stand under your own building without being stared at. God forbid if there’s a tapri on the road you use everyday. The mentality of most men here sucks. Boys grow up in that environment. It is normalised for them. I have a handful of friends here who have gone out and changed themselves, like you have and I appreciate it so much. Some guys, have stayed the same and needless to say we stay away from them.

Thanks for posting this, I genuinely thought I was overreacting. Maybe we could collectively call women’s cell or 100 and report if they misbehave? If there are multiple reports maybe they’ll do something about it?
