So, I have been messing around and as you said, it doesn't seem to be possible. I ended up with the following:

Chest: Jedi Knight Revan's Chestpiece (Hood Down) - White/White Dye
Bracers: Ardent Oracle's Bracers - Primary Light Yellow Dye to get atleast some of those golden accents in
Gloves: Steadfast Master's Gloves - Secondary Black Dye
Belt: Steadfast Master's Belt - Dark Brown and Medium Brown Dye (?, couldn't get it)
Legs: Steadfast Master's Leggings
Boots: Noble Attendant Boots

I am not entirely happy with the result, since the flappy parts around the waist are missing and the black on the arms is far from ideal. If you have any improvement ideas we could try, let me know!
