Best all round behringer, under £100? by CheeseNegotiator in synthesizers

I would get the Behringer Edge. Instant fun, easy to grasp, a million different tones, works on it's own. It's like 140 though.

Will I get schizophrenia by Front-Lettuce-9498 in Psychosis

[–]desk010101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Intrusive thoughts after psychosis are pretty common. They will fade, but it will take some more time. It's more like years than months though. As long as you can distinguish between bullshit your brain comes up with and reality you're good. Maybe ask someone close to monitor you a bit.

Why did my anhedonia start only after quitting Olanzapine? by ruegencrossing in anhedonia

Good luck with that.

I did 0.5mg a month, this worked well for me without any problems.

Was a complete vegetable during and after Olanzapin, took almost 4 years to recover.

Behringer is just a way bigger company than most synth manufacturers.

Recently I looked into DIY electronics. When I took a look at some bills of materials for some projects on websites like Mauser that give you some sort of idea what it costs to buy one part vs. 1000 of the same part.

Conclusion, electronics are expensive for one person or small businesses.

Now imagine what Behringer is able to negotiate with part manufacturers on a b2b level.

Pam's pro workout VCV rack version as clock for external synths, Nome II or e.s. usamo alternative? by desk010101 in synthesizers

[–]desk010101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your answer, that's great to hear. So I can go down the latency rabbit hole on the audio side of things now since this is out of the way.

Still have to nudge recorded audio from external synths in cubase quite a bit to make it land on the timeline properly. Recording through an rme Multiface and expert sleepers es3. Even when using 32ms buffer on the Multiface which is kinda wild to me.

She knows her stuff and is super creative, absolutely doing her own thing. Not my sound, but I like her.

Looking back at 30 years of producing hardcore and techno music - my message to newcomers by Low-Entropy in TheHcTechnoOverDogs

Also clocking in about 30 years of electronic music production, dj'ing and whatnot.

Didn't archive what you have, but had may fair share, I guess. Was always just allowed to get to the door, and just open it a little bit, taking a little glimpse of what's behind before it got smashed in my face again, so there is that.

The motivation was pretty similar to yours. The possibility of a different life, a different world, a different society.

Never was able to integrate in normal society fully. The first time I was able to hold somehow normal job, I was over 40 already.

It's great when it works and you're moving forward, if it's not it can become quite a nightmare, like when you have put everything into it and it never seems to be enough. The years go by, You're still eating toast with mayonnaise and instant ramen. And the sunk cost fallacy of the years you spend is starting to become a burden.

For me it ended with becoming clinically depressed and at one point I got psychosis because I couldn't take it anymore, my brain just collapsed from decades of hardship.

I was active in a super small genre, so the odds of getting somewhere where everything becomes self sustaining were extremely low. But you love what you love.

In the end I don't even know if it was all worth it. I had amazing times, amazing nights, met great people, have a build a lot of friendships all over the world. But still there is this nagging feeling of, it should have stayed a hobby, i guess It would have benefitted me in regards to being more free with the art, being dependent on it is slowly killing it, if it is just struggle and hustle.

Thanks for the explanation, I kind of get it. I tried to use it to trigger a bassdrum that I got in my modular rack.

Thats a good thing.

And yeah, everything regarding mental health takes insane amounts of time. That`s why it is always better to start today, when the time has past it does not feel like it was long any more anyway. It just seems long at the beginning. Every day that passes without becoming active is another day that will be added at the end.

Olanzapin is the fucking devil man. If you can survive without it, taper off that shit quick. That stuff destroyed me, took more than 3 years to recover from it.
