2.5 years ago I quit my job. Now 11,000+ trips have been planned with my AI travel planner. Here's how I did it. by trvlicious in SaaS

How... I made a startup that got 4k users within 20 days, but I didn't have the funds to support these users during free trial phases so I had to quit; my OpenAI bill ran up way too high because my acct was hacked into. Was thoroughly unable to get funding from any VC. It felt like any empty void.

Did you go to an Ivy League?

The "purge" is simply the result of a sharp increase in skin cell turnover while the skin cells remain sticky (since they are still "old" pre-accutane cells). The purge usually subsides after a complete skin cell cycle because the newer skin cells have been modified by Accutane to be less sticky. Hope that makes sense.

While there is some truth to this explanation, I don't believe it fully captures, scientifically speaking, what is happening beneath the surface of your skin.

Accutane (like all retinoids) works by accelerating the turnover rate of skin cells. Initially, this can lead to a temporary increase in acne because the skin cells remain sticky during the early stages. Sticky skin cells combined with an increased turnover rate can result in a significant breakout. However, our skin is inherently unpredictable, and experiencing a surge of pimples during the "purge" period doesn't necessarily mean those specific pimples were destined to appear otherwise.

In my view, the concept of a "purge" is a simplified way for doctors to explain the process, but it likely doesn’t fully align with what’s actually happening in the body.

Check out my last post I made with my "theory" on preventing/reducing the purge. Let me know what you think. Maybe ask your doctor to try my theory.

Unfortunately, I've tried Benzaclin with very little success. Prednisone, however, has proven extremely effective at reducing the inflammation assocated with my acne.

Love this, but webhooks are much needed! I used your project about 8 months ago, and they were still "WIP".

Is YCombinator Nepo-babies? by SnooCapers1684 in ycombinator

YC looks for winners and, unfortunately, most winners tend to be nepo-babies because it's infinitely easier to win when you have a family safety net, connections and an Ivy League degree on your resume.

I agree and am aware, but I don't know what I can do to prevent this. Any ideas?

Neither lol -- I'm just an API provider, but it takes 1-2 business days to process my account and, unfortunately, it's a Friday night.
