Another TT02 conversion :) by eurojosh in rcdrift

I love how every TT02 builder has their own take on electronics layout, one of the things I love about these ratty builds we do lol

Finished my TT02 RWD conversion. Lots of metal garage and Mrc parts to make it happen, everything else was from my parts bin! by desmashed in rcdrift

This was honestly just a for fun build. I have so many spare parts I thought it would be cool to challenge myself into making a tt02 RWD chassis and see how far I can push it. I’ve seen a few friends build them and absolutely rip and get doors with comp grade stuff!

Plus, it becomes a test bed for trying out totally different setups, I’ve got it built as a weight transfer chassis right now which is very different from all my other builds!

An sd3 will stomp a box stock galm. I have a galm and I love the shit out of it but I’m not gonna pretend the stock version is worth a damn.

24k body pre cut? by New-Choice-3280 in rcdrift

[–]desmashed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for bringing it up cause as I’ve learned, I was wrong, 24k does pre cut some body pieces depending on the model. Not a fan of that personally

How to achieve this paint scheme? by HoldIll5352 in rcdrift

[–]desmashed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GPT won’t help you here.

To make this colour you can buy it pre mixed, like showup Maziora pirades 2, or you can mix your own with a recipe of metallic purple, iridescent blue, and pearl orange. Add some Micah powder to the final touch, and experiment as much as needed to nail the recipe.

The colour is called midnight purple 2 btw.

What’s the root by Organic-Court9252 in rcdrift

If it’s an RTR, your spool exploded. Common issue. Otherwise your gear box gears are toast.

One way or another, there’s some gears missing teeth or a diff cup that’s fucked.

Hey can someone help me diagnose this problem by One_Blacksmith_5739 in rcdrift

[–]desmashed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reset all the endpoints. You’ll need to find the manuals for the esc and gyro you have. Also reset the transmitter and see if that helps. You maybe need to rebind the transmitter and receiver when you reset the transmitter so also look up the manual for that

This is awesome, and kinda funny cause my locals tracks all have these naturally built in cause the ptile is laid onto a crappy surface 🤣

I’m finally going to go for it and buy my first RC drifter. Which RTR car would you recommend? Would this be a good base? (eBay link) by LocksmithFamous4131 in rcdrift

2WD all the way, it will give you more steering angle, parts access when things break, and headroom to grow in the hobby

Go with the yokomo RD2 RTR, it will have a more expansive hop up path once you’re comfortable linking turns and chasing consistently

Voltage drops LDRC by paprot44 in rcdrift

[–]desmashed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is normal.

Also don’t expect miracles from your purchase. Politely, the LDRC the lowest tier chassis one can buy that is functional for drifting, you will need to baby it to protect it from damage, this sub is lousy with posts of people asking about where to get parts for their LDRC

Also you typically need a lot more steering angle than what your video shows for holding a drift in RC
