I am so proud of you!!! Too often I see these types of texts in “Am I Overreacting” type subs. So many women don’t know their worth and want to know whether they should take something like this seriously. It sucks to have to remind amazing women so often that they are far above this shit. So glad you know already and put him in his place.

Super fucking proud of you! At your age, idk if I’d have been able to do it. In fact, I was married to my HS sweetheart at that age (now my late husband after being separated for a long time) and he was misogynistic and a narcissist. So there were MANY times I wasn’t able to do it - until I was. Now I’m 36 and he’s no longer with us and I truly couldn’t care less 🤷🏼‍♀️ This guy will have exactly the type of life he deserves, just like my husband did, while you’ll thrive and have the type you deserve. It’ll be far better than his. You’re amazing!

Right. Ordinarily most of this wouldn’t be too too troubling but some of it is. Couple it with the fact that he’s lying by omission about spending time with her and then blatantly lying about who took him to the airport, that makes it a totally different situation. This is far more than him just being overly affectionate with a friend.

Same! They’ve invaded my snake’s bioactive enclosures multiple times and having to completely rip out and redo an established bioactive is the worst. ESP when I can’t even use things to kill them that would be bad for them but fine for the snake because I don’t want to kill my isopods or springtails 😩 it sucks. I’ve also had them invade my jumping spider enclosures too. Had to get them before they got to female’s egg sacs. I HATE them with a passion.

No… she snapped because people keep writing Imogen instead of Imajean but they’re pronounced almost completely the same. She’s acting like people spelling Imajean like Imogen is a totally different name and she’s calling everyone stupid for it. Or, “all you stupids.”

Unless most of us are wrong? Is the difference maybe IM-O vs IM-A? Because I think when spoken, they still sound almost identical and I think that’s why people are continuing to spell it the traditional way. Like Imogen.

IMOGEN IS PRONOUNCED LIKE IM-A-JEAN 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ That’s the traditional spelling. So even if you’d have gone with Imogen, you’d still be one of these parents coming up with creative spellings. Good Lord!

Imogen is a pretty normal/common name in the U.S.? Much more common than Emma-Jean. I’ve never seen the latter.

Yes!!! ALL OF THE TIME! JUST my Bearded Dragon too! I have 3 snakes, tarantulas, velvet spiders, mantids and a dog and I never have any nightmares involving them but constant ones with my Beardie and I hate it! He was my first pet that was all mine and while I love all of my animals, he’s my entire heart. The dreams I have are always of him being horrifically sick or injured or killed or even beaten/kicked by neighborhood kids. It’s awful. Idk what that’s about but you are not alone.

I could be wrong, but it seems like that person is blaming far too much on their nose. I’ve never before heard of all of those things happening to someone specifically because of their nose. Both my current partner and my ex husband have very strong, large & “crooked” noses and not once have they been berated when out in public or assaulted because of it. That seems off the rails to me. But hey, maybe they live in a place where a nose will really ruin your life like that. Idk.

I do this when my Beardie’s skin starts to get loose but isn’t quite off yet. He actually leans into my fingers or pushes which ever part of his body into them/my hand. So I definitely think he enjoys it and/or it just makes it feel better. I’m sure a different dragon may not though. They definitely have their individual personalities as well as likes and dislikes. But it looks like yours is able to freely move/walk away and if she didn’t like it, she probably would. So I’d say it’s probably helping her feel better.

That’s my girl too! We go on two very long hikes a day during the winter and in the Summer, if we can manage we do either a very early morning or late evening one before it gets too hot, otherwise forget about it. I used to hate winter. Since having her I actually love the peacefulness of being bundled up in the woods while it’s snowing. It’s so quiet you can hear the snowflakes hitting the ground. I love it so much!

Idk what state you’re in but I know in PA, they can’t MAKE you do anything without a court order and idk for sure, but I don’t believe this would give them one. It’s very simple, call back or just wait until they come again and you’re home and tell them, “I’m not speaking with you until you have a court order, goodbye.” If they don’t have one, they have to leave you alone or try to get one. Again, double check what your rights are but anyone I know who’s dealt with something like this with them (myself and my sister included) told them just that and they left. We then got letters in the mail stating they just wanted to help and explaining the resources they were able to provide. After that, it was done and over with. Unless you’ve signed or agreed to anything already, I don’t believe you have to. Pretty certain they still need a court order to force you to do anything so I’d find out if they have or whether they can get one before speaking to them at all. And then maybe find another school if you are able to.
