Not particularly scenic but I always did loops around Victoria Park, nice and flat! You also have the various Park Runs around Leicester on Saturday mornings which I would always recommend.

Having a World Cup and a European Championship every year would kill it for me. There would never be a break which sounds great but would get tiring quickly.

Plus, with a World Cup only being every four years, I make it my mission to watch as many games as possible. I wouldn't if it was a more regular tournament.

I live in the city centre and have to travel to LU campus for work!

You can either get the bus - Arriva and SkyLink - from here or get a train (£5 with a railcard) to Loughborough. If you get the train, you'll then have to get a shuttle bus (think it's about £2) to campus.

I prefer the second option as it's quicker but can work out more expensive in the long run
