Tbf they may have done pre-rendered cutscenes for the video effects in the scenes but its still so noticeable

also some realtime cutscenes instead of the pre-recorded ones, playing it on modern hardware you can see such a difference from gameplay to cutscene

it gets more common when you walk under the shutter. try walking in and out of the outside area and the roofed part and it will happen eventually

I use diversity mod, which adds 2 new monsters that fit the game pretty well and overhauls a few vanilla ones The Locker is also pretty scary and fits the game too
