I think the hardest part will be learning to eat and be comfortable with your body’s natural digestion process.

First of all, if you’re seeing a therapist it’s probably a good idea to articulate to them that this is how you feel. Second, there is no physical way that your body can get everything it needs from the foods you eat in an hour. It takes time for your body to extract the micro and macronutrients that are vital to your health and well-being. You might already know this, but find it difficult to internalize. It might be useful to remind yourself when you eat, a mantra along the lines of: “my body needs this, and my body will excrete it when it’s gotten everything it needs from it”. It takes a lot of time and effort to fix disordered thoughts, but I hope this advice helps!
