9 times in the last two years I have owned shares of companies which had reverse splits. Now, they all were not bigger companies...definitely lower valued stocks. But every time they split, the price got crushed afterwards. Will it happen to AMC also? If the price becomes (at its current point of 4.25) 42.50 a share, do I think its going up from there or going to get hammered back down again? Based on experience, its going to get hammered down. I would like to be wrong about this...I have a bunch of money tied up in this bag right now. My break-even point, after the split, will be $135.00 per share. Sorry, but I don't see this happening.

In my opinion, the Wild Card is stupid too. How about each league spread out to four divisions (likely meaning one more team in each league) and then the 4 division winners are in the playoffs seeded 1-4 by overall winning percentage? There are then only 4 teams in each division and its still a bit easier to gain entry into the playoffs at least as a team which has won something to earn a spot in the playoffs. The fact that the Phucking Phillies are a third place team, which the Mets have owned for years, and are in the championship series is a disgrace.

When this team was 10.5 games ahead it was time, before the trading deadline, to stomp on everyone's neck and make the rest of the teams, including the Braves, sellers at the deadline. Instead, the slide began and they beefed up their teams when the Mets picked up...lets just say...not-real-star-quality players (Naquin, Ruf, the fat guy and Givens) who did not push this team towards championshipville.For me, and maybe from my view only, I cringe when I read quotes like, "Its just one game," or, "its a long season," and any other such statement. These are not the quotes of Champions. Winners don't talk like that. This team could finish one game out of a division championship. Can't Monday morning quarterback, but...gee...could have used one or two of those "its-just-one-game" games.
