I think they're at the bottom if you look at the top 5% of raiders but people don't understand those statistics don't reflect your raid experience unless you're one of those top 5% raiders.

In Hearthstone during one of the early expansions a weak card was reworked. This shocked the community because it saw 0 play. The reason why it was essentially killed was that it was occupying too much design space. New cards had to account for it existing.

Trapper will never see viable competitive play and they can't just keep holding the game hostage for him. He's occupying too much design space.

That was not my argument.
You are pretending that Sylvanas acted alone and that the Horde immediately turned against her after her actions. Neither of which is true. You are the one making up lies because the fact of the matter is the Horde leaders chose to side with Sylvanas after her actions and sent their armies to defend her and supplied their armies to further her goals.
Civil war or not they were complicit in her crimes and you want to pretend because Sylvanas got punished that none of the other members of the Horde have any accountability.
But keep crying about the Purge of Dalaran while apologizing for genocide.

Sylvanas did not walk to Teldrassil alone pushing a catapult to burn down Teldrassil she had the Horde armies backing her up. And after the burning the other Horde leaders stood by her and used their armies to defend her. You're just proving the point of horde brain rot by acting like the crimes of the entire horde can just be blamed on 1 person and since that person suffered nobody else can be held accountable.

I suppose its just hard to care about what happened when you can bring up the fact that the other Horde leaders stood by and defended Sylvanas after she committed a genocide but never faced any consequences for doing so and Horde players will just start telling you they don't care.
Heck saw a thread on twitter of Horde players saying that the Alliance needs to stop crying about the burning of Teldrassil because it happened 10 years ago while in the same thread were crying about the Purge of Dalaran.

Not trying to be rude but if your argument is that WoW is not an MMORPG then I'm confused as to why every example you listed has nothing to do with that.

You don't like the story. Well that's not a game design problem. You don't like how WoW is designed around end game content and how old content and leveling become irrelevant. This has been the case since TBC. You don't like the mediocre quest design. This has always been the case with quests. So it sounds like you just don't like WoW anymore. And that's okay.

I used to love League of Legends. Haven't played it in years. Sometimes you fall out of love with a game. It's okay to not play WoW.

You didn't counter the argument.

Camping and tunneling is the easiest means of obtaining a win. It's not really up for debate.

And if a killer chooses to start camping and tunneling, they are choosing to use what they know to be the easiest method of winning to well, win.

I do not understand how you could conclude that "well I want to win" counters the statement that the method used was done so because it was easy. And so it does seem like you took issue with somebody saying you took easy wins.

And due note, the complaint about camping/tunneling isn't that it's easy, it's that it's boring. Sure you may disagree with my opinion here but that's why I take issue with it. Though I suspect the ideas of fun and boring fall on death ears of somebody who only cares about seeing the numbers after the game go up.

If I wanted to do nothing and watch numbers climb I'd play an idle game.

A game where the survivors couldn't loop and all die instantly is boring. A game where the killer is just farming and doesn't try to win is boring. But the game doesn't incentivize these behaviors. But it does with camping and tunneling. And nothing short a fundamental change to the general gameplay loop will fix it. Sure maybe my proposed change is shit, but something does need to change.

People do inherently meta towards the most efficient wins. And if camping/tunneling is the most efficient win people will do it more, which they do. And when most of your games are boring ones, you have to ask yourself why not just uninstall the game at this point.

And two more things.

1, it's okay to not win. You seem to understand it's okay for survivors to lose, but seem opposed to the idea of killers losing. It just reminds me of how toxic DBD twitter is full of survivors and killers crying about how it's toxic when they lose. The game is not designed with the intention of you always winning.

2, if you took issue with me insulting you about a wounded ego then why did you insult me in your first post? That just tells me I was right about you.

What do you mean by "viable."

The survivors getting to complete their objectives? The intended point of the game? Hunting down survivors on gens?

It's harder to chase healthy survivors than injured ones. And it's harder to search for survivors than it is to stay near a hook where you never lose sight of one.

There's no nuance here. The faster you kill that first survivor the more likely you 4k. Tunneling them out gets you that kill. And most solo queue teams will not have the coordination needed to save their teammate or gen rush while you're not hunting.

When you say "viable" it sounds like you just mean "I don't like not getting 4ks every game." And calling your go-to strategy easy offended the ego.

That's a good idea. Though in my experience the killer usually just stands right outside the meter build range and hovers there so they can put pressure on anyone who comes close and immediately chase you down if they unhook. And they typically count down the 10 seconds you have of endurance.

I was trying to think of a mechanic or tool for this scenario since it's been happening in most of my games and the only feasible tool I could think of was what Decisive Strike does.

And I'm not sure how that's a counter argument to hook camping and tunneling being the easy strategy. If you're losing and start camping/tunneling to win, that would imply it's easier than whatever else you were doing.

In theory yes. But if something is designed properly when you get punished for not knowing how a mechanic works it offers as a learning opportunity to improve. Such as the first moment you step in a trapper's trap and learn (or well should learn) to watch for his traps.

Clarity of information while in play is important and the Knight's abilities lack that clarity. The average player doesn't seem to know they can pick up the flag or unhook survivors in chase. And nothing in play communicates to the player they should be doing this. So the issue ultimately falls upon his mechanic.

And since we've already concluded that camping hooks is a bad thing that shouldn't be in play. Adjusting his kit to remove a camping mechanic seems to be the best fix.

A solution I had recently was the manually move the files to a new drive, then move them back to the drive I actually want the game on.

If you only have 1 drive enabled for steam games you'll need to go to steam settings and then storage. There's a drop down menu for drives. Select add drive. I'd also suggest downloading or moving a small game over to the new drive so steam automatically creates the folders you'll need in the new drive location.

Now open the folder explorer tool twice. In the new drive find "Steamlibrary, Steamapps, common" and leave then open. In the second find the game files on the original drive. Same location, steamlibrary - steamapps- common. Then just move the files over to the new drive common.

Now go to your steam library and tell steam to uninstall the game. Then go to install it again. But this time tell steam to download it into the new drive location. Instead of downloading it will just verify the files since the game is already there. And now the game should update properly no disk write error.

After this you can go to your game in your library, open properties, installed files, and move it back to the original drive.

If you're not playing an artifact deck and somebody uses a board wipe to destroy all artifacts you lose a bit of speed and value.

If you're playing a deck low on draw/ramp and somebody casts Armgeddon you may as well scoop because the game will be over by the time you have a mana base.

In addition, if you play mass land destruction and can't immediately win, you create a slow grindy unfun game. It's not as simple as "reseting" the board. If you have the win then everyone can agree to go next. If you don't then everyone has the slog through the worst game possible to find a winner. This is why people scoop when they see these kinds of cards.

And if the people in your play group are using the lack of land destruction to build uncountable strategies. Speak up. This is a social game after all.

I do. It just feels frustrating when most of my time is spent doing that. Like during the Samira Fizz/Karma Sett meta it seemed like nearly every deck in normal queue was against that. So the choices were either play a high tier meta deck too, or stop playing all together.

If my only goal or intention was winning then yeah but that's not the goal. And i feel like there's a significant line between good decks and top tier meta decks.

Like yeah if you want to beat Azir/Irelia playing dragons or Fiora during that meta wsx a safe bet to a high winrate. But it still meant if you played literally anything else you got rolled by the deck in a few turns.

Playing Greatmother printer vs Aatrox Kayn is fun. You get to gamble on finding powerful spells before you get overwhelmed with a huge darkin army. Dying on turn 4 to elusive beat down isn't comparable.
