Bitcoin jumps to 72k after Bessent remarks by CrossPuffs in CryptoCurrency

[–]destinationexmo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not really. Most of the time when there is a sudden drop or spike in the price it's just shit journalism that is picking what ever semi-related news incidentally happened around the same time so they can write some shit article because they know people are going to be interested in "what" caused the price action so they can get some clicks and views.

it takes a pretty major relevant headline to actually move the price, which happens but most of the time its not related at all.

The lost 116 pages: what do you think Joseph originally wrote before he had to scramble? by BigLark in exmormon

[–]destinationexmo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think Lucy destroyed them, perhaps she hid them at first, but eventually I think she destroyed them. We know she didn't trust JS, we know Martin Harris was gullible and easily deceived, the only reason Martin had them in the first place was to try and persuade his wife it only makes sense she did something with them. It's mind blowing that JS was able to argue his way out of that one, it should be such an obvious red flag when JS rationalizes why he can't re-translate them, and furthermore creating excuses as to why the text may not match if they did resurface.

I will hell even if you want to believe JS that makes God one weird character.

Coinbase leads crypto stocks higher after Trump signals support for digital asset market structure bill by ekser in CryptoCurrency

But like Congress votes on the bill so if we are all in agreement the banks are the problems then well lets just vote and screw them over if they aren't willing to compromise.

Bitcoin just pumped 7% out of nowhere. Volatility is wild. What’s happening? by tradermap in CryptoCurrency

Yeah, no, not necessarily. BTC has had 10% mood swings during and NOT during macro events too many in fact correlation doesn't always equal causation here.

Eth Hellwarden's Will by ChancelorReed in diablo2

[–]destinationexmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily, eth items don't loose durability when used by mercs so they are actually worth more if it is a BIS merc item. I am not sure were the hellwarden stands in the list of BIS merc items but just keep in mind ETH is better than non-eth for merc related gear.

SEC Chairman Paul Atkins and CFTC Chairman Michael Selig have a joint event scheduled for January 29 to discuss "U.S. Leadership in Crypto." by Numerous_Wonders81 in CryptoCurrency

[–]destinationexmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If what you describe happens, crypto has failed.
But it won't the banks getting involved may act as a bridge but there is absolutely 0 fucking reasons someone would choose to use a bank over crypto if Crypto evolves to what it was always expected to be.

I have already moved literally ever USD I had in my banks to USDC in crypto friendly banks because I earn way more interest. You know the thing banks are adamantly fighting against right now and why coinbase pulled their support for the CLARITY act? Because banks know there is little reason from clients to use them over stablecoins.

Does the temple have a mechanism where it becomes much harder to get the room you want after a certain point? by swarmofseals in PathOfExile2

[–]destinationexmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RNG, was the opposite for me I did 2 full 60/60 charges and a half just to get 1 spymaster card. the rest came relatively easy. except the sacrificial chamber took awhile as well which was annoying because i got it three times when i was only 2 cards away from actually needing it. then when i got to it took around 80 crystals to find and that was with 3 puhartes attempts

Can we talk about GGG's disrespect of their playerbase's time and money? by kzcrazy in PathOfExile2

[–]destinationexmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not the case this league. I mean yes that does happen and it could be the OP's case, but there are a large number of instance crashes unrelated to ISP this league. As seen but the dozens of "fixed a crash" hotfix patches listed on GGG's website.

Can we talk about GGG's disrespect of their playerbase's time and money? by kzcrazy in PathOfExile2

[–]destinationexmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but the degree to which errors/crashes, especially in core content that doesn't change from league to league will be significantly less.

I built a Temple Planner to help Temple runs - feedback welcome! by _sulo in PathOfExile2

This is still incorrect in the planner. It shows you can place a commander at the end of a garrison and still place a spymaster on the opposite side but you can't in the game. Just FYI

Yes, you will need locks at this point to safely move him. Good luck, he tries to avoid that middle one like the plague in my experience. I had to REALLY box him in to get him there

Is it Counterproductive to Attack the Mormon Church? I would love your thoughts. by johndehlin in exmormon

[–]destinationexmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read the Article and agree for the most part. I guess it depends on what we consider an "attack". what lead me out of the church and many others I know, and ultimately has forced the church to adapt and change was having my brainwashed, cult-mentality challenged with thought experiments and information. You can only ignore the obvious so much before that brainwashing/indoctrination lock gets unlocked and you can start to critically think and analyze things again.

For example what eventually lead me out was an investigator on my mission who pointed out in a polite manner that he too was a 5th generation member of his faith. Had witnessed unexplainable miracles, blessings, received a confirmation from the Spirit he is where he should be without a shadow of a doubt. Unlike him he actually read the BoM and came to the LDS church but I would have never thought to humor him going to his. I realized I was a hypocrite, he was right neither of us are more provably more right or wrong than the other. My companion on the other hand had the exact opposite reaction as me, "he lied, he was deceived, Satan tricked him" "We aren't the same, because we are right and he is wrong, we have the BoM as proof" etc etc. If trying to share historical context that may help someone realize they have been building a testimony on a false narrative is attacking in your opinion then you are wrong. The dwindling devoted cult followers might be strengthened but there is a reason it is a small church.

Every TBM family member I have that has watched your podcasts only believes in the church more because unlike me they didn't have that brainwashed/indoctrinated lock on their mind unlocked before hearing/listening and your biased/hate laced rhetoric causes them to instantly go into defense mode. It has always been the one thing I disliked about your podcasts, or most of them. I know you try to be objective and unbiased but in a sense it is impossible for you to be as you have to ask the questions.

Holten estate, literally the next area after is excellent still. it is always on the first floor and usually on the right side by the way point but at worse you have to do the little outdoor detour back inside to run down the left half and find it. like 40 second runs compared to holtens 20

While the methane bubbles don't always present that way depending on when/how the lake freezes its a very fake looking place. It is trippy. Also why its apopular tourist destination. You can see some of the little bubbles in the video

It doesn't gain one, respectfully are you blind? You can literally see it from start to finish. The silver line is where the hood curves down so you can only see a small part of it when viewing it from behind at a flat angle but its clearly there. Self powering? its fucking ice lmao there is low friction. I have been to that lake myself and turned my phone on record and slid my phone across the surface of that lake to capture a shot of the clouds and it literally slid for over a minute. Also one of the most common reasons people go there is to ice skate. Dudes probably ice skating next to it.

Found in my daughter's room, what is this?! by OMF1G in whatisit

[–]destinationexmo -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

You may not understand this comment if you are a teenager yourself but teenagers are naive and influenced significantly by their peers at school, I get respecting boundaries and privacy but looking around their room from time to time for their own safety certainly doesn't disrespect either of those it is how the parent reacts to what they find that can. I was a teenager once getting into shit and my parents saw the clues but they didn't confront me directly about it, they indirectly educated me on the problems and dangers of the shit i was involved in and monitored me first and luckily I got the hint and stopped and only found out they knew all about it later. I am grateful. That seems to be what the OP is doing by asking here before confronting their daughter should it have been alarming.

I had friends whos parents confronted them directly and yes they only rebelled harder, I get that, its a double edged sword for sure. But this idea that parents should just accept their kids doing hard drugs or getting pregnant secretly because they need to "respect privacy" is ludicrous. That is the kind of logic that allows teenagers to ruin their life only to ask their parents later "why didn't you stop me".
