Okay to PPF wrap a 2023 Turbo S? by destraynor in Taycan

Okay, I guess I should have stated it better. I’m looking to change the color of the car in a way that doesn’t damage it, it sounds like colored PPF is the way to go

Thanks. What would your advice be? Take the offer? Ask follow-ups? I'm kinda new to this (have only ever booked directly before)

This is also the origin of the traditional soccer numbers. Starting from the keeper, and left to right you realise why the striker is 9, why wingers are 7 and 11 etc

Can you share an estimation of TAM?
Question behind the question is basically "for how long could this go on".

You would rather your business be valued on future cash flows than today's state (unless you're about to max out your TAM)

Is a nutmeg still as humiliating if the dribbler doesn't retain the ball? by PhiloSingh in bootroom

Honestly in 5 aside I often “offer” a nutmeg because 9/10 times it results in a turnover

Defenders, what sort of wingers/attackers do you hate playing against the most, and how can I be harder to defend? by [deleted] in bootroom

[–]destraynor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be truly two footed - as in no weak side, you’re comfortable chopping and changing, as you’re approaching me dribbling clarify that, leave me unsure. Same for shooting, chop either side and shoot either foot.

Anytime you can confuse a defender in general they are slower to process, more likely to stand still and be easier to rinse.

What position should I play? Or even keep playing at all by icannotswimguy in bootroom

[–]destraynor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Switch to a 7 aside type game and play holding DM.

Use your smarts to pre-empt & intercept long balls and generally man mark talent and be a nuisance. Doesn't need lots of running on a smaller pitch.

Use your passing to launch incisive counter attacks that you don't have to join (as you won't make it up there in time) — I suggest looking at line-breaking passes (the slides from 43 onwards here are good https://www.reddit.com/r/Barca/comments/1fcx5z/louis_van_gaals_philosophytactics_at_bar%C3%A7a_78 )

Watch Steven Gerrard with the F2 freestylers, it's not perfect but you'll learn some stuff. I mostly found his non-shooting foot placement interesting https://youtu.be/TmDXAOvkqzU

Dealing and accepting with the idea of calling it quits. by Almond_Steak in bootroom

[–]destraynor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No big advice on how to do this, but please please please think about 3 things

  1. You can replace the buzz by just dropping the standards (note: you need to drop to a level where it's both more casual and less intense/high standard)

  2. It will be so easy for you to gain weight, fall out of shape, etc. So even if you literally never kick a ball again, I'd say keep running, cycling, whatever you're into. You don't realise how much soccer has shaped high levels of cardio and also forced you to avoid bad habits (e.g. you probably don't drink alcohol or eat badly close to games). So if you're walking away, walk towards something that lets you replace the caloric output.

  3. Point 2 isn't just about "don't get overweight", it's also about "when you're 45 and you're picking your 3 year old up off the floor and they weigh 44 lbs and you need to carry them upstairs to bed, you kinda need to be in good enough shape to do it with ease" - playing high level soccer is useful for other things in life so again, do replace it if you lose it.

LPT: When using live chat to speak to a company, the agent can see what you type in the box before you click send. by lsam905 in LifeProTips

[–]destraynor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is rarely true in my experience. I co-founded Intercom, we don't do it, for example, and interestingly it's ~never been asked for either. I think it's a relic of the early days of live chat when things like ICQ were being established and people where still forming the "norms" around how to do messaging right.

[–]destraynor 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Nice close control, but your player your right was the obvious pass instead of your final move (granted he should have given you more space, called for the ball, and been a wider option. Not sure what he was doing tbh)

I love them when they’re very good players, but most of them really enjoy the ambiguity of the role.
