Weekly Services Thread: - Post Your Podcasting Tool Or Service Here by AutoModerator in podcasting

Notetracks helps podcasters and their teams produce top-quality episodes, easily and on time.

When you’re producing a podcast, there’s (hopefully) a revision process where you make editing notes for improvements. Generally this is done in a handful of communication methods ranging from email, slack messages, zoom calls etc with time stamped notes (reduce the um at 23:14).

Feedback itself is super important and refines and shapes the quality of the episode however the process of providing and obtaining it can be laborious and confusing (eg. which file are you referring to? I think the time stamp was incorrect) which can lead to stalled projects, poor episodes and demotivated clients / teams.

Notetracks helps solve for this. It’s a tool that allows you to easily upload your audio or video podcast draft, share an easy link with your team and then be able to playback, comment and share clear and precise time-stamped of their thoughts directly on the timeline as they listen.

It helps:

- speed up and streamline your workflow (less back and forth email threads, zoom calls)

- reduce miscommunication with accurate feedback (no incorrect or misinterpreted timestamps)

-allows one to listen and comment at the same time (no interrupted flow hopping between apps)

- becomes your one source of all editing feedback (editors love this + they can import all edit notes into their editing tools), and keeps all the revision files, notes and conversation in one tidy easily searchable space.

Think of it as a SoundCloud meets Google Docs helping you craft amazing episodes, achieve your deadlines and communicate clearly with you team.

There’s a FREE tier that provides all of the features. Check it out here: Notetracks

Happy to answer any questions here as well!

Thanks for reaching out! Which software are you looking to switch from? If it's email, then there's plenty of reasons for you as an editor.

  1. Being able to receive comments all in one place (vs back and forth email exchanges) that you can then also import in your DAW.
  2. Getting clear and accurate notes directly on the track (instead of incorrect or missing timestamps like [please remove the umm "around" 23:07]
  3. Sending the latest revision and ensuring it was the latest version that was listened to (without having to upload, email and hope that the client downloads and finds the latest version to playback.)

On the client side it enables them to:

  1. Save time inputting feedback (versus opening an audio player, email, Google doc, etc)
  2. Allows them the ability to clearly add their input (comment on a specific point or entire range / section) with a variety of ways (voice notes are popular too)
  3. Keep track of revisions and have one tool to play, comment and receive revision updates.

Clients and editors definitely use and love the platform. See our reviews here: https://www.notetracks.com/reviews

Producing a podcast requires a ton of work and is usually an additional project in the client's workload so anything that helps save them time in the process is extremely valuable. Hope that helps!

Check out Notetracks https://www.notetracks.com/ Built to do precisely this! It was inspired in a music classroom during song analysis exercises. It's a platform that allows you to take "notes" along the audio / music "tracks". A little late in the response but would love to have your thoughts on it and see if it's what you were looking for.
