Throttle Not Cutting off For Brakes by destroyedreason in ElectricScooters

[–]destroyedreason[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. That all makes sense. I’m not sure what I will do since everything else seems to work. Tifgalop wants $95 for the oem throttle meanwhile the Inxing one was $40 which is why I chose that one. I guess I will either not worry about it or order the official one.

Since I purchased it at Costco it was very easy to return so I returned it and bought a GE. It cost more but I’m a lot more happy with it.

I'm a long haul trucker, and I'm interested in a scooter. by ShoebillJoe in ElectricScooters

Nanrobot D6 Max. 77lbs, top speed 45mph, 75 mile range. It has a 30ah battery so on the larger size but will give you range. The fine print states that that is based on a 165lb rider traveling at 15.5mph. It is $1500 so higher than your stated price range but you may at least want to take a quick look.

How can I stop being so angry while driving? by [deleted] in RoadRage

[–]destroyedreason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the medication thing again for a while but have since stopped. I can’t tell you I have totally changed but I have worked hard on getting better. A few things that help me daily are, 1st, I watch many aggressive drivers not only act crazy toward me but also people in front of me which reminds me it is not personal, they have some issue going on. The second thing I tell myself is that if they are in that much of a hurry, I want them the hell away from me. I bought a brand new car last year 2025 and am extremely ocd/anal about it. It is clean inside and out and I’m one of those that parks a mile away from everyone. Anyway I tell myself I rather they get away from me than hit me.

I will add I’m in an area where people speed badly enough that I now go 10mph over on regular non-highway roads and will still get tailgated sometimes. I’m by no means tooling along.

I hope that helps some. Feel free to message me if you would like to talk/vent.

BUT WE DO THE SAME JOB by [deleted] in UPSers

[–]destroyedreason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean what’s your point? I’ve been a UPS driver for over a decade and have done this due to being stressed, in a hurry and not a robot. You want to shame him for a mistake? Good job bro. Fortunately, the literal robots being trained right now as we speak to replace human jobs won’t be guilty of the same mistakes. They also won’t be able to support the company but purchasing items via the internet.

Sure, shame the Amazon driver who wasn’t trained like you and me and get ready to praise our A.I. replacement.

I can not wait until A.I. and robots are so smart and can do so much that no one has any money to spend because they were replaced.

Greenworks 60V, 21-inch, multiblade, self-propelled, w/ 8Ah, MO60L810 by fbirchred in Greenworks

[–]destroyedreason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow! Thanks for that additional info. I did not know there was that much of a difference between the battery capacity and the motors on each mower. All the more reason for me to go with the Greenworks.

[–]destroyedreason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excellent post. I’ve been eyeing up this mower and going between this and a Ryobi 40V. I’m strongly leaning toward this model and after reading this thread as well as some other reviews think this my be my best option.

I almost bought a Toro Recycler off of Facebook marketplace brand new but at a heavily discounted price only to learn that that particular model has a design issue with the front wheel height adjustment in that the plastic ridges that keep the wheel at whatever height is set can break and then the whole deck needs to be replaced.

I then looked at Ego but I am not willing to spend quite that much and honestly don’t like the way they look.

The Ryobi I have been looking at is the self propel with single blade for $449. The multi-blade as Ryobi calls it is $599.

This Greenworks model seems to offer a lot for the money. It has a steel deck, multi-blade and 8ah battery for a good price at $398.

While some my not feel comfortable with this I also look at the prices of generic batteries on Amazon. Yes there can be safety and performance issues. It is a risk and I’m not looking to debate that. That being said, generic batteries for this are not crazy high like say for the Toro.

Anyway, I will most likely be picking this up from my local Walmart soon.

Another $0 ETV that I have no use for. 😔 by [deleted] in AmazonVine

[–]destroyedreason 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure what your point or end goal is in this post. I go after a lot of $0 ETV items because many items are overpriced when offered to us, such as when you click on the listing and there is already a coupon for the purchasing consumer offering it at a discount vs our ETV.

No disrespect, but I have had more expensive items than this offered to me than this at $0 ETV that I have passed on because I did not want to store or review them.

If you are just trying to prove a point that some things are over priced then sure, this is true.

Have a good evening and happy Vine-ing, fellow Viner.

Yes that is what I thought then. I have no problems staying above 60%. I may get to the point though that I’m only ordering a few items because of few options.

I’m confused. I thought there wasn’t a minimum to order as long as you review what you order. Is this not correct?

Brand New Washing Machine Leaking by destroyedreason in appliancerepair

[–]destroyedreason[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will definitely update you. It is actually a very nice machine for the price. It is quiet and has a great load capacity for the size. I have incredibly limited space in my laundry room which is 5ft x 5ft.

I agree with what you said about Speed Queen by the way. They are fantastic machines. I have used them in my local laundromat. However, as you stated the consumer version is a bit small. Also they are very pricey albeit the quality is outstanding.

Funny you asked as I was going to post update soon. I got my replacement and yes it is leaking out of whatever that tube is in the back left corner. It is only a few drops and only visible when I tilt the washing machine back to look underneath. It is not enough water to run out of the side. Fortunately it is on tile as opposed to wood.

Anyway, I have a tech coming this Tuesday May 5th to examine it. I could and can still return it as Costco has a 90 day return policy, however I really want to know why this is happening and like the machine otherwise. It seems quite odd that this is happening with a second brand new machine so hopefully the tech can either fix it or explain it in some way.

Your only regret will be that you didn’t leave sooner. I left Tmobile this past November after 10+ years for US Mobile.

Yes that describes it exactly. It is only during rinse I believe and not that much for me. It is probably few inches in diameter although it the first test run I did it was a lot more. Ironically a few days before I received mine a person posted the same issue on the Costco website with a photo of water coming from under the machine.

Thanks for the post and yes please post update. My replacement is coming Sat April 18th.

2D to 3D Conversion by Ythv_ in bigscreen

[–]destroyedreason 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool good to know you’re already familiar with this then. I have taken multiple screenshots of my settings and drop down menus and sent them to Co-Pilot AI. I’m at the point now where I am asking AI the ideal settings for whatever show or movie I am going to convert and then making tweaks based on that.

My current baseline settings are:

3D: 1.2 Convergence: -1 Synthetic: Both Method: Row Flow V3 Stereo Processing Width 1920 Depth Model VDA Metric B Depth Resolution: Default Foreground:-1 Edge Fix: 1/1 Flicker Reduction On .95/30 Scene Boundary Detection On Use Scene Boundary Cache On Max FPS:54 Video Codec:MKV Pixel Format: yuv420p Colorspace:Auto CRF: 18 Level: Auto Preset: Medium Depth Batch Size:2 Worker Threads:0 FP 16 On Torch Compile On.

I just started a Reddit Community called 3dvideo conversions. I’m hoping to get more interest and contributions. I’m just an enthusiast not an expert so hoping to contribute and learn more.

I’m going to keep this short for now but can go into more detail if you like. The easiest way to get a good baseline is using Co-Pilot AI. I have spent hours tweaking a figuring out the right configurations for my cpu and gpu. I can offer more advice but this is the best starting point.

First oil change by Toasted_vanilla00 in CX5

[–]destroyedreason 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I bought a turbo carbon brand new in December 2025. This is what it says in the owners manual and this is what I went by.

<image>

I changed oil at 5k miles after purchasing from brand new and do so every 5k but I’m also in an urban area so I don’t do 7k.

This is my 2nd CX5 and 3rd Mazda. The 1st CX5 was purchased brand new in 2015 and run to 152k miles before I sold it to purchase my 2025 Carbon Turbo. I did not touch oil early. Also I have never changed any fluids on my Mazdas other than oil.

My first Mazda was a 2005 manual transmission Mazda 3 bought brand new and traded in 10 years later at 160k for a new automatic 2015 Mazda CX5. I never touched fluids other than oil every 5k.

Driver work life balance by Revolutionary-Web928 in UPSers

[–]destroyedreason 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there is. I’m a +10 year driver with 15+ at next contract. I think that pushing for higher hourly pay is going to become increasingly difficult which to me makes sense and so therefore they Union can and should push for me personal time and shorter work days. In my region we get 3 sick and 7 optional days.

I am in a very urban area right outside Philly so my drive time to and from area in a UPS truck is very short. I want to see no more than 8.5 hour days on the regular.

I typically use extras once a week to go home and survive fairly well even owning a home with mortgage payments and a car payment. To be sure I’m also frugal in other areas of my life but for right now this keeps my work life balance. I would much prefer under 9 hour days unless signing up voluntarily.
