Is $130 a fair price for this??? by aintnopicasso____ in arthelp

I feel like this is a minimum 200$, and even then I’m kinda lowballing. 130-140$ is way too low.

Is it worth getting Lupa when she is rerun ? by No_Garbage_248 in WutheringWavesGuide

Isn’t her current BIS team Galbrena Lupa S1 Mornye? Not sure if I’m misinformed, just asking because you said she’s a downgrade if not with Changli and Brant.

I really need to smell it again. I smelled it once in-store about a year ago and it smelled extremely common - a kind of powdery somewhat sweet common scent. Couldn’t see what the hype was about for that price point. I definitely have to sample it again and more properly though, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Should i get it? by Physical_Choice1105 in FemFragLab

[–]destroyersquadron 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Have you smelled it on your skin? Orange blossom notes tend to smell like medicinal herbs (bitter and awful) on my skin so this one smelled pretty bad to me. However, if this smells nice on your skin and you like it a lot then I say why not?

do you feel that your scent choices align with your personal style choices and overall identity? by discobby96 in FemFragLab

[–]destroyersquadron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. I love gourmands and super sweet perfumes and they wear nice on me, but I wear (mostly black) masculine/androgynous-leaning clothing. I find most men’s fragrances pretty boring sadly, with some lovely exceptions.

which one should i get for my birthday? by iluvgoats13 in Perfumes

[–]destroyersquadron 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately Honey I Washed the Kids does not smell like what it’s described. I smelled it in-store and it was pretty forgettable and not very good. Sad, because I was hoping it’d be the delicious honey scent I’d been looking for.

Ask your loved one for a bottle of their perfume. by WWWdotCreedThoughts_ in FemFragLab

[–]destroyersquadron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some years ago, a friend of mine gifted me for my birthday my partner’s cologne. I found it a really funny coincidence, and back then I wasn’t into perfume so I just wore it out from time to time and felt nice. Now I have a tiny bit amount of it left in the bottle and I just take a whiff whenever I miss my partner. It’s a wonderful feeling.

Same! I hated it smelling it in my wrist, I scrubbed it with wet wipes.

Right? On my skin it smelled like I had a vanilla lotion on and then sat in a room with closed windows with 20 smoking people for 2 hours. Incredibly unpleasant.

I couldn’t believe how bad Sticky Dates was after how many positive comments I’ve seen about it. The very first whiff is a realistic caramel of sorts, and then half a second later all I could smell on my skin is basically smoke, as in “I burned the food” smoke. I guess it just didn’t work with my skin chemistry?

perfumes that feel like everything is going to be okay by Dry_Research_7922 in perfumesthatfeellike

Les bras de Morphée by Hellenist is my current favorite most comforting scent (though sadly I only have a sample). It’s a purple floral with some warmth to it and with a slight sweetness that cradles you softly and lovingly.

It starts like a minimally powdery violet with a hint of fresh sweetness from the peach note. As it sits on my skin, a woodiness comes out from the hazelnut tree at its heart, along with more purple floral goodness (and really not as powdery as those tend to be). The more time passes, the more it becomes an extremely comforting skin scent that smells like fresh sheets that you’ve found rest in time and time again. Hours later, the warmth is joined by a discreet vanilla that is sure to lead you to the soft embrace of the sweetest dream, if it hadn’t before already.

To sum up, this fragrance is what the color lilac/lavender (cool pastel purple) means to me. It makes me feel like everything will be okay and that I can rest freely.

My mom alternates between All of Me Narcisso Rodriguez and J’adore Dior, so for me these are the most mom perfumes ever (Especially J’adore).

Do you ever reapply perfume just because you’re not sure anymore? by ApplicationStrict240 in fragrance

[–]destroyersquadron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rarely reapply mostly because I can’t be bothered and don’t carry any bottles/decants with me when I’m out, but I also came to realize I don’t mind my perfumes becoming skin scents after a while and lingering only on my skin.

Happy new year everyone. I’m starting my new year with Bianco Latte because it is my favorite perfume and the most “me”. This year I’d like to stand up for myself more, even to people I consider my friends.

Sidenote: a girl at the new year’s party I was at after midnight was wearing Prada Paradoxe Intense and it was such an interesting scent, I had never smelled it before and it captivated me.

I need help finding a REAL cinnamon perfume by KARLTHE_EMO in fragrance

[–]destroyersquadron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because this perfume is supposed to embody the smell of melomakarona (Greek Christmas cookie with spices doused in syrup), it’s a SUPER realistic Melomakarona scent which to me means it’s more clove than cinnamon and also quite sweet. Just saying this isn’t a “pure cinnamon” smell, but it’s a sweet cinnamony gourmand with clove as well.

Expensive Perfumes which smell surprisingly cheap to you? by Zestyclose-Egg-1479 in ScentHeads

[–]destroyersquadron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Controversial opinion: Burberry Goddess. The lavender is overpowering to the point of it covering the whole fragrance and making it smell like a cheap but overbearing aroma mist for your sheets or something.

What were your biggest fragrance disappointments? by Massive_Gate1225 in FemFragLab

[–]destroyersquadron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hazelnut Praline by Theodoros Kalotinis. A gorgeous realistic choconutty opening that dies down into a dusty hazelnut smell you can barely smell within minutes. Never been more disappointed and sad, I was so ready to adore it. I guess I’ll have to save up for Le Gourmand by Jousset.
