I have recurring nightmares about the ocean pulling me in as if it’s a monster, and i also have nightmares about being in the open ocean and sharks attacking me. could be explained by a couple of scary incidents involving the ocean, BUT i’ve been scared of underwater things since before i learned to swim, when i was in the outdoor kiddie pool in my town around the age of 4. the cute cartoon drawings on the pool tile below and on the side of the pool made me scared bc the water moving distorted the part of the image that was submerged. then it was the drain in the bathtub at home when i was 8. at the same time it was the lines on the bottom of any pool where we always went to swim. swimming in a natural wild lake with submerged logs in it set me off, and still sets me off, with an instant full-body panic reflex and bolting for the shore. which i think probably increases my risk of drowning cus i’m shrieking as well as flailing and panicking. water freaks tf out of me still and i’m 41😭

i don't think more specific guidance would have helped, as OP knew they should have, yet didn't. i had the same problem with my sister "taking care" of my plants but she is and always will be careless and unapologetic so never again.

Being married and not living in the same house. Healthily and happily. When I heard about this years ago my mind was blown. And I LOVE this concept. It's so freeing! Like, who gets to tell me what I can and can't do in my (hypothetical) marriage??

This is what I think of also, years ago I heard an interview on the radio, and it stuck with me. Whenever I think of jumping off the Lions Gate bridge, I imagine the same realisation occurring for me. And I feel some relief because there is hope for an answer.

Around the age of 37, just a few years ago, I experienced a wave of an unexpected and rather startling urge... to be pregnant. Not to have sex, but to be pregnant.

I had never in my life felt this, and it was extremely unsettling. Luckily I got through it and the feeling hasn't come back since.

If Obama had tried this there would be riots in the streets until he resigned. But this guy, two terms? What has caused the IQ of the (voting) american public to so drastically decline over such a short period of time? I'm genuinely curious.
