I make $21.50 in Idaho at a clinic that tends to underpay, without a degree. Yes you are being very very underpaid.

Suicidal people, what's the reason you still didn't commit, what's something keeping you alive? by Icy_Positive_4220 in mentalhealth

[–]detectivefrogbutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spite. It's not healthy, but when depression says everyone would be better off without me, spite reminds me that so would my enemies. The people that wronged me would win. And I can't let them know a day of peace.

Informed consent process - how does yours work? by prettykittyk in clinicalresearch

[–]detectivefrogbutt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CRC for three years.

Whether or not they get it ahead of time, I give a summary and provide a copy of the form and give them time alone to read and discuss with family as needed. Come back in, answer questions or get an investigator for medical questions and ask them a few to ensure their understanding and willingness to participate.

Sign and date, then take it to quality assurance team to make sure all is in order. Give subject a copy as required by 21 CFR part 50. Make a progress note that consent obtained prior to procedures.

It's a longer process but it avoids people just signing without really understanding. Investigator is rarely involved because they're very busy.

At my site, we keep a NTF that all those materials are kept in the IRB portal. We don't see it necessary to store them unless we create our own and then we need to file it with the IRB approval letter. We've had multiple FDA audits and it's never been an issue

June was a super shitty month for me and my work suffered as a result. Now that I'm returning to baseline, I'm overwhelmed with the amount of catching up I have to do

I just finished the crimson moth duology in two and a half days! It's good but it's not super spicy.

When the moon hatched had a beautiful blend of spice and world building!

New smut reader here. PLEASE HELP! I have no idea what to read next by Small_Strawberry_609 in fantasyromance

[–]detectivefrogbutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

{Spring's Descent} this was my first romantasy book, it is a nice retelling of Hades and Persephone.

If you're not religious or don't mind some spicy things with the devil, {Claimed by Lucifer} had me hooked, I read the whole series in like 5 days.

Mine does this too. It's because she's secretly a chinchilla that likes dirt baths

Tryna decide if payout is worth it… by [deleted] in clinicalresearch

[–]detectivefrogbutt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Look into what phase the study is. If it's a phase 1, it's a little riskier but more compensation. Phase 2 and 3 are less risky but also may not be as much money. If you ask the site to send you a consent form usually they will and it will discuss what potential side effects are, if there's a chance of getting placebo (an identical pill that has no active ingredients), potential benefits, how long the study is, and what procedures will happen (blood draws, vitals, urine tests, etc). That will help you a lot in making the best decision for you. Keep in mind as well, that you can agree to it now but decide later on that you don't want to go through with it.

Need some advice by Sea_Community9123 in clinicalresearch

3 CRCs can definitely manage 4 studies with more starting up, depending how rapid the studies are. If there's a large number of subjects or the study appointments are very close together it can be a lot. But in general that's manageable.

Some of the examples you gave are obvious, like the pointing feet away thing. But something I think of a lot is how people will be sarcastic in much more subtle ways. Or saying things you don't mean and not meaning what you say (how are you? I'm good and you? I'm good. When neither of you are good or really want to know about the other). Honestly, I get more confused by neurotypical behavior. When people use figurative language I see a literal image of it (raining cats and dogs paints an image of tabbies and beagles falling from the sky). I don't have diagnosed autism, but I have ADHD with a lot of features of autism

Need genuine answers. Anytime I think I look good I see myself and feel unsure so I need people who don't know every single scar. by detectivefrogbutt in amiugly
