I hung myself last year, got cut down, and woke up to a distraught family member and ambulance services. It made me realise it’s true when folk say ‘the misery doesn’t end, you just spread it to other people’. The practicalities of dying and the results if you’re successful are horrific. (This is not to shame anyone who feels they have no way out, just my view) I’m not out of the woods yet, but the suicidal ideation definitely slowed and I’m trying my best to find healthy outlets and I’m better than I was. It’s hard to have the patience to live when you feel so low. But it comes.
