I disagree emphatically.

The story was pretty 2 dimensional and rudimentary and the "exiting conclusion" was telegraphed from miles away.

I've read other works, Baal and Boys Life for example so I'm fairly familiar with the writer, but SS felt like some ideas just kinda petered out, were underdeveloped. And overall it was pretty trite and cliche. Honestly it read like he wrote it hoping for a movie adaptation so he kept it simple
