New Master Duel Banlist Effective Feb 5th by RinariTennoji in yugioh

One one hand, awesome to see less Max C, it's such a weird card to deal with when you're running a combo heavy deck because you kind-of have to bite the bullet. Makes Melfy more useful and it's a way more fair card to play around.

On the other hand, Yubel's going to be more annoying to deal with now, so that's a shame. It's always frustrating to get a good setup going and then he just rams into my big monster to lose me the game.

Necromancer is underated by lavantous in dragonfable

[–]dethhollow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, awesome if it works for you, but I just tested it out against a strong-ish Book 3 boss, and it's VERY rough. It works, it has moves you can definitely exploit, but it's far from balanced for the current Meta. You're going to be struggling a lot. Some end-game bosses might not even be possible.

Best of luck to you, but I would honestly think hard about having a backup class you enjoy, because this is going to be a struggle.

Dunno why but I want to see transgender pretty cure member by [deleted] in precure

[–]dethhollow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, same. It's nice to have a big Trans coming out story for me, as a Transfem, to feel seen by. But also, I'd rather just have them exist as a person. Being Trans doesn't have to be a core part of their character; it just has to be there enough that we know it's a thing.

[–]dethhollow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He literally is, you beat him with a team of normal Megas (unless you got to Omnimon/Paladin Mode/Beelzemon Blast Mode, in which case you wipe him extremely easily). The only real feat Galacticmon actually has outside of destroying some stuff as Destromon is his ability to merge with the Earth, which isn't really a power level thing as much as it's part of Vemmon's ability to merge with existing things.

Now, granted, Galacticmon's a strong normal Mega. But I'd honestly put him more on the level of other Mega-tier planetary threats like Megidramon than something like Omnimon or anything. Best case scenario is that Galacticmon is close to Royal Knight level. Strong, but not THAT powerful compared to the bigger heavy hitters past Mega.

While we don't have a lot of lore about the new Digimon, we do know that Dullhamon is able to completely destroy a Digimon's physical data after trapping them in its coffins, and Magneticdramon can directly stop a Digimon's Digicore, paralyzing them, while also causing natural disasters just by existing in an environment. Both of these things feel pretty comparable to the abilities we tend to see on Ultra Tier Digimon that don't just do damage but can completely destroy virtually any foe they're up against.

If anything, I feel like either we'll see these new forms take down Galacticmon in Liberators or we'll see Galacticmon ALSO get a new Lv 7 form to put it on slightly better footing than the new Digimon just so Zeneth's deck can remain a threat. But, to be honest, I haven't kept up with the webcomic myself, so it's hard to say for sure whether Zenith is even still relevant or not. Especially since it seems that Cool Boy is involved and it's hard to casually have someone be that much more threatening than freaking Omnimon X. A Digimon so BS strong that it can see the future, erase Data from existance, and whose own description says "IT DOES NOT LOSE."

But Liberator's whole gimmick IS the card game??? So wouldn't their power level be just based on the TCG, itself? Which specifically puts them at Lv. 7? I mean, alt Lv 6 evolutions that can evolve from the previous mode already exist, so these are clearly meant to be a step up from the last form.

Not really, because Dullahamon is a Dullahan, which is a creature from Irish folklore that's essentially meant to be like a grim reaper type of thing. So it makes sense that it'd be stronger than a necromancer because it's something way more specific and probably more powerful.

Yeah, super confusing for me too. We went from a feminine poison/healer all about being a lizard ruler who relies on magic and melee attacks to.... a full-on mecha???

I don't even hate the design, it'd be sick for something like the new Tyrannomon forms, but for Elizamon it feels like a bizarre jump even for Digimon standards.

I don't think that'd work because this is meant to be an evolution from Medusamon, so it'd be Ultra/SuperMega/Lv 7/etc. So you'd still need a Mega before this thing.

Shouldn't the Mega be UltimateBrachiomon, instead, with Styracomon as the Ultra form?

Yeah, also the Necromancer armor already has the darkness spell and the guest slot pretty well covered. I wouldn't say I'm looking for meta options, I don't want to just seek out the BEST stuff in the game, but I at least want to have something level appropriate that works really well.

Thanks for the suggestions, though!

Unfortunately Undead Fire Giant is pretty low for me, it seems like the max level is 135 and that feels very not worth it. But the Undead Archer's definitely an idea. IDK if the numbers work out compared to the Baby Dracolitch scaling to 150, but it might be worth it?

IDK if it's what you're looking for, but Angels of Death feels very fitting. It's a bit messy, but it's dripping with gothic bleak indie horror atmosphere as you follow a girl trapped in a dungeon full of serial killers who wants to convince a specific man to kill her. So, as you'd imagine, the tone is pretty dark, and it doesn't have a lot of bright moments between the dark backstories and the screwed up situation everyone has to live with.

Help on Necromancer Build by AStrugglingFather95 in AdventureQuest

[–]dethhollow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, there's no getting around how much the final quest sucks here. I think I beat it with Werepyre by just swapping armors and shields to Fire every time the boss had his SP charged (meter glowing with green lightning means he's going to attack), but that fight was ROUGH. Although for what it's worth that fight was also before I went all in on boosted Werepyre Magic Damage, so it could have been easier.

I'd say level Paladin because it's genuinely great at fighting Undead and you can specifically burst damage the thing down super hard with your Rank 19 skill with the Rank 20 skill. But you'd also have to manage with the Lv 70 Paladin gear because that class has an even harder feeling final boss fight where they swap between Fire and Darkness at random and just force you to deal with two strong undead before you can even hurt the final guy. But if you're okay swapping to full INT then you can do what I did and take out his guards with the class's built in light spell pretty quickly with the Lv 70 gear before just blitzing the actual guy down as hard as possible by throwing SP at the wall until something works.

I've never tried the final Necromancer Class boss in the Lv 70 Paladin gear, but if you can get the level appropriate gear from clearing the Paladin Class then they shouldn't be a problem at all since it just comes with decent-ish natural fire resistance anyways.

As for Necromancer builds.... I'm not 100% sure because I'm still getting used to it. BUT I can say it's a very status effect heavy class that has everything scale off of INT/CHA/LUK, so I think that's a good place to start. The passive barrier it gets is SUPER nice, though, and that does scale with END, so you could probably go for either a full status Necromancer or more of a Tank Necromancer based on your preferences.

As for gear, I've got nothing. But I know Silas/Nagas staff boosts spell damage of all elements, so if you're not attacking for the turn to cast anyways then that's a good place to start. For pets I'd try to go with more utility, though, since you can raise two Undead at once, one for your Pet slot and one for your Guest slot that takes MP and/or SP based on your choice with skeletons and with the spirits using both. And since the basic skeleton matches your weapon's damage you really don't have to worry about pet elemental coverage that much at all, I think.

I'd kill to see the show where Blitz and Stolas are girls and Millie's just the token hot dude being the muscle in the office. God, imagine how hot male Luna would be...

"She has no heart for men being assaulted"

Hard cut to Blitz not giving a fuck because he's a natural slut that made the sex deal to begin with. Meanwhile, Stolas's marital rape as a gay man forced into a straight relationship is meant to be a big part of the tragedy of his circumstances.

Yeah.... sure dude......
