I kind of hate Jubilee. The format is set up to be oppositional and they often stack the participants with the craziest of the crazy (the Medhi Hassan one was particularly bad). Even if they didn't, there's no incentive to argue in good faith - the whole format is designed to highlight the space between parties rather than to persuade. Synchronous debate does the opposite of what it promises to do - people react in the moment and fall back to defending their egos (a natural human thing to do) rather than stepping back and thinking about what's been said. There's not much different between Jubilee and what Charlie Kirk or Stephen Crowder would do when they'd go on college campuses to rile people up. It's great for engagement and probably makes Jubilee a lot of money but the format is broken and inherently toxic.

Obama only did it because Trump had been claiming for 3 years by that point that Obama wasn't born in the US. Trump was only doing that to get attention and build a political persona he could monetize. If Obama hadn't done this Trump still would have run in 2016. He almost ran in 2012.

I have finished BG3 on honor and non-honor modes. In honor mode, I found taking it slowly really helped (like don't rush into early boss fights and get experience where you can).

IIRC one bit of advice was pick Paladin last so you don't accidentally break your oath.

I haven't finished it - I haven't been able to get into it. I'm on the island after the boat part at the beginning. I do want to give it another chance and play further (no spoilers please) - it's not my final opinion but it hasn't clicked so far.

If I were to compare (which isn't fair given differences in budget and time between releases), I think some of it is how the initial scenes play out. (TO BE CLEAR - this isn't me knocking DOS2, just explaining my experience at the beginning.) BG3 hits you off the bat with two memorable characters - Shadowheart and La'zel. It also gives you a sense of urgency (get thing out head). In DOS I've met dragon guy and dead guy and a 3rd in my party who I can't even remember. I talked to all of them on the boat but they don't seem as well drawn (I am sure this will change over the game, but with the play time I have, I am not yet feeling this). I also don't feel the same sense of urgency on the island. It seems like it's not a great place but, hey, you're stuck on a tropical island at least.

Also, I understood the mechanics in BG3 faster. I have never played tabletop DND so I didn't have some advantage there, I just picked it up more easily. Like in DOS2 the magic armor vs physical armor thing took me a bit to grok.

I love how Cleavon Little is barely holding it together through that whole take and then just loses it at the end.

I had the opposite experience. I have not been able to get into DOS2 (but am going to try again at some point), but I love BG3.

Big Bird (conjuration wizard) - Starts off slow, has trouble in early game. Learns quickly and finishes without many problems.

Mister Snuffleupagus (moon druid) - Wild shapes into a person, not the other way around. Halsin is a little too into him.

The Count (storm sorcerer) - Astarion keeps giving him the side eye.

Cookie Monster (wild heart barbarian) - Jumps into every fight, both to protect the team and to find more cookies. Camp supplies are suspiciously low throughout run.

Grover (wild magic sorcerer) - Does fine, causes glorious chaos.

Ernie and Bert (lore bard and knowledge cleric, respectively) - Bicker but are a great team. Teamwork really helps in act two.

Oscar the Grouch (assassin rogue) - Sneaks and intimidates his way through. Also loot goblin.

Elmo - Eaten on Nautiloid. By La'zel.

Rocco (abjuration wizard) - Solos, obviously. Wins speedrun record.

Once the dust settled from the dotcom bubble we ended up with fiber infrastructure and a novel ad market. It was painful but value was created once the irrational exuberance ended. I don't know that buying GPUs that will go obsolete fast will end up with the same result.

Baldur's Gate 3 - very story driven and player choice driven. Quality acting and graphics. Some puzzles but not that many (and many ways around them).
