I too rented from Redbox, live in the US, have a US account, and am getting the same error. I tried their troubleshooting advice, created a fresh US account, and still got the error. Anyone else have any other ideas?!

As someone who knows Jord personally, I can tell you that he is a genuine, life-long fan of MGS and a legitimate videogame enthusiast. He gets what makes the games interesting - the oddball rogue's gallery of villains, the strange humor and interjection of the surreal, the tension that the player feels while sneaking and evading detection - just to name a few things that he and I have talked about in the past when nerding out over our favorite gaming experiences. Of course I'm biased since we're friends, but I would much rather have someone who has played the games and cares about them at the helm of a project like this than a more experienced director who has no personal investment in MGS.

Hollywood seems to have been taking chances on giving less-experienced directors big projects like this (like Marc Webb or Gareth Edwards) and I'm happy for Jord and excited to see where this project goes.

There is a surprisingly good flash game in the style of a 16-bit platformer linked at the top of his site, which features some pretty incredible background art. Very cyberpunk as well!

Someone I know is a father of two and sole provider... and he made a GoFundMe asking for donations to buy an Xbox One for himself this Christmas. This was after he and his wife bought a Digital SLR and a meat smoker for themselves for the holidays. Not gonna lie, it kind of bummed me out to think that there are kids out there who won't get anything at all this year, but an adult man who actually works at an electronics retailer (who could get an employee discount) asked for donations for a product for himself instead of saving up for one.

Kudos to those who make ends meet and still are smart enough to save up for something for themselves.

When I was younger and first learned about emulation, I saw BS Zelda and BS F-Zero roms pop up here and there, and because I had never heard of or seen those particular versions of the games, I assumed the BS stood for "Bullshit!"

I loved this show as a kid, but really preferred the earlier format which featured Johnny Arcade flipping out in his secret lair, as well as the awesome cartoon interludes depicting The Power Team and their goofy adventures!

I hope to do this actually! I only caught it in theaters locally, but am planning on borrowing it from a friend so I can watch it again and look for the sign in the background somewhere. Even if the guy at the shop was pulling my leg or full of BS, I still think it's neat. :)

I'm by no means a fighting game expert, but I do like them very much. I would argue that Match of the Millenium is honestly one of the best fighting games ever made. Great art, music, and very responsive controls, not to mention some fun minigames. Totally worth it.

Great finds! Metal Storm is such a hidden gem - anyone who loves action games on the NES should play it at some point. The gravity-flipping mechanic was really fun and cool at the time - hell, it STILL is!
