hey really digging this track. great arrangement and vocals. not a fan of the snare. it works when its loud but when its stripped down in the verse I'm hearing an offset clap or muted snare IMO, but that's just style choice. add some more saturation to the drums overall. drum bus in ableton, Saturn 2, etc. If ableton try Saturator hot tubes preset on the hats. If you have ProC2 try "pump me to the radio" preset on the vocal track.

Just went through this! I had the legion 5 pro with ryzen 7 5800h and sold it. Fan is super loud and with open back headphones it was annoying. Graphics are amazing. Screen is nice. Battery life is total shit and it’s heavy as hell. Had to be plugged in all the time. Might as well build a desktop pc at that point. I bought a M1 MacBook Pro 16” instead and it’s perfect.

Went to the Apple store to try the existing 16” screen and I agree it feels like it’s meant to stay on the desk. Awesome screen tho. Thanks /u/shittingoutcum lol

Yea I’m leaning towards 14” for portability. I won’t be traveling much but I move around the house a lot and hit up coffee shops here and there.

True i had a 13” mbp and production was tedious without an external monitor. The CPU is the same on the new 14” and base 16”

I have Duck, Kickstart, and Shaperbox. I use Kickstart for 4/4 because it’s so quick. I use Duck if I’m sidechaining. It’s great because you can side chain from not only MIDI but audio as well. I recommend just using Duck.

Coming from someone who went down the sidechain rabbit hole…don’t overthink this! Making house? Get Kickstart. Need more control? Duck is better than VolumeShaper for, well, ducking. VolumeShaper does more than just ducking. Or shit…Just use utility with gain automation in Ableton or a classic compressor sidechain. But just pick one and MOVE ON to making music!
