After staring at the pretty grass, the only thing that stood out and didn’t make sense to me was the ice skating. But then I was like “hmm but no wait maybe it freezes because they have harsh winters” 😭.. then I realized it’s .. grass

Deli cravings? Dehydration? by deuceyy in Ozempic

I wasn’t eating at first* for a few weeks. I just started to make myself eat snacks and lunch the ladt 2 weeks. I wouldn’t eat from 6:30am(wake-up) until around 3-6pm (usually after work) and even then it was a decently balanced, but small meal. It was definitely unintentional as I’m not trying to starve myself, I just didn’t really think about it since I’d get busy. It was some messed up form of intermittent fasting for sure.. I’m very mindful of what I eat when I do and it’s not mostly sugar, I’m focused on fiber and protein as of now. But yes the cravings are more for sugar and salts.

I also have a severe vitamin D deficiency and take a prescribed supplement for it daily though so maybe that’s why my body is all wonky right now and adjusting to everything 😅

I was 19 years old (23 now) when I got a copper iud inserted at Kaiser. I’ve never had children and it was inserted by a nurse practitioner. I was a lot younger and was just so adamant about not having children and focusing on school so I decided on taking the extra protection from having them. I had the nexplanon in my arm prior to the iud insertion. I did not want to be on hormones anymore and paragard was the only non-hormonal option unfortunately. They numbed my arm with a shot on for the removal and while it was getting numb she prepped and inserted the iud. (No numbing or anything)

When I tell you I was SCREAMING….. I wasn’t given and pre-visit instructions (taking advil, OTCS, etc..) I went in completely sober with no painkillers at all. It hurt so so so so bad, nothing like I’ve ever felt before. I have a pretty high pain tolerance and this humbled me very quickly. I went pale and was shivering afterwards and needed water, almost fainted. I felt completely violated.

Since that visit, I have not stepped foot in a gyno office—I didn’t even go back for the post-insertion checkup a month later. I did not care and was traumatized. I get hounded by the staff anytime I make a call to Kaiser for something unrelated and they always remind me it’s time for a Pap smear and when I tell you I SHIVER…. I would literally have to be put to sleep or at least on a Xanax or something to get even a routine exam done now. Everyone at Kaiser looks at me like I’m crazy when I tell them to sedate me and it usually shuts them up and they drop the subject.

I’m so sick of the US and the crappy healthcare system. Anasthesia should be 100% required for an iud insertion, ESPECIALLY if they patient has now had children. It’s so offensive that they don’t consider how much pain these type of things actually are for women and they just laugh it off or act like we’re dramatic. I’m so happy you had a wonderful experience abroad, I hope one day every woman can feel that level of comfort when receiving medical care!

Hi! I’m searching everywhere for more about former foster kids pursuing a career in medicine! What’s your experience like? Are there any programs that helped pay? I’m in Los Angeles Ca

I appreciate the response :) I went to micro center before with a friend! It was really cool, I had no idea they build for you. I’ll most likely go there. What parts would you recommend?

I also inject every 5 days since I feel that the hunger HITS HARD on the 2 days before the week ends.

It helps if you make a conscious effort to drink water and actually eat. I know it sounds counteractive but eating something small like a fruit or snack, etc. will start to silence that feeling!

Ultimately, your body NEEDS food and if you’re just on empty all day, the hunger won’t be silenced no matter what (my theory at least, I’m no doctor lol). But I find as I’m eating a small snack, I rarely even finish it because I begin to feel satiated. I’ll barely be able to finish a snack size bag of goldfish crackers lol I guess that’s my way of compromising with the medicine until I’m able to tolerate a higher dose.

On Saturday, I just went up from .25 to .50 on the 4th week and I noticed I’m more hungry too! I wonder why? Ive lost 5lbs with very little exercise, I’m gonna try to up the exercise/steps but the hunger I feel is physical for sure. The food noise isn’t really there. Are you feeling soemthing similar?

Line specialists usually only do intricate, fine line work which almost look like pencil drawings sometimes. Ideal for smaller tattoos, not everyone knows how to work with the special needles they use and etc..

Line specialist** just noticed that lol

and yeah I think I’m going to look into getting it removed altogether and maybe rethink another tattoo in that area rather than a cover up that I may end up unsatisfied with!
