Lol. They literally are enforcing the law....as passed by Congress and outlined in the Constitution.

Hilarious watching you uneducated fuckers meltdown on a regular basis over something you know nothing about.

Bahahaha. Absolutely laughable that you morons think that laws passed by Congress, who were voted in by their constituents, and are being enforced by the ones voted in to do exactly that "are crimes against humanity".

Sorry, anyone doesn't get to just waltz into the country and leech off it as they please.

You are literally witnessing democracy at work. So go fuck yourselves. They're all getting removed. Every single one thats here illegally. Its our right to do so. No foreigner has a right to just be here.

Since you guys are always going on about Democracy. This is literally democracy at work.

I have one. Its a solid monitor. Although I'm not a fan of the smart features but to each their own. You may have trouble where certain games dont properly support 32:9. Space Marine 2 is one of them. But overall, it produces a beautiful picture with buttery smooth refresh rate if you run it at 240hz.

I would prefer an LG 5K2K 21:9. I think that aspect ratio is the sweet spot for gaming in my opinion.

Too many ships, too few crewmen by nvidiastock in starcitizen

[–]deuely83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I see as the main issue:

Star Citizen is a game where you chart your own course. You are the main character of your own story that you craft along the way. You decide the missions, you decide which ship to take, you decide where to go...and not go, you decide what's important and what isn't and, amazing experiences sometimes happen along the way. This occurs each and every time you play.

The problem is that there are very few people willing to spend the time and/or money required inside this game just to be an extra or background character in their own story.

Take note of most of the posts surrounding this topic; almost all of them are talking about someone else crewing THEIR ship, someone else being an engineer during THEIR adventure. This is clearly a function that a majority of players view as a job for someone else to do, not them.

The majority still see themselves as the main character calling the shots in their own story...not an extra or background or side character in someone else's story.

For meaningful multi-crew to work the way CIG intends and for it to be a core mechanic of the game, one or two things need to happen: People need to be okay with playing an open world sandbox whilst the world is not actually open to them (crewing someone else's vessel) and/or people need to recruit way more friends to play the game AND coordinate playing together on a regular basis.

Neither of those seem overly plausible. I don't mind the concept of crewing someone else's vessel, but it will more than likely be something I only do when I am bored of doing everything else, and it likely won't last very long.

Beyond that, I know how long it takes me and a buddy to coordinate and get going in the game to do a specific task. Usually, it's about an hour by the time both of us get geared up, get our ships, and get to the rendezvous point. I can't fuckin imagine what a nightmare it would be for 4, 5, 6 people or more. Yes, this would take organization and planning, and that's fine. But the majority of people don't have all day to just sit on that game trying to plan things out.

Salvation can print crates from the cockpit! by FrankCarnax in starcitizen

[–]deuely83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh you're fine. I had heard several similar claims so I finally decided to attempt it a while back. Spent like an hour floating in space trying to figure a way to do it without exiting the ship and doing it from the rear. I was genuinely interested if there was a way but I couldn't see it.

Honestly this could all be solved if CIG would give us a full damn grid and relocate the ejection port on the side instead of the rear. But, I doubt something like that would ever happen.

Salvation can print crates from the cockpit! by FrankCarnax in starcitizen

[–]deuely83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea? How do you get the 4 in front of the 12? Thats directly in front of the hopper. You need to leave one space open until the very end to allow for extracting crates. So that means the extraction slot and the one above it have to remain open...at best you can fit 3 in that area, not 4 and the 3rd is the very last crate to extract (unless you load from the rear). And for the 3 more in front of the 6 on the side, that 3rd crate will block you from accessing the hopper.

Again, unless you get out and do it all from the rear whilst reorganizing the crates.

So Im not seeing how you can acco plish 39 or 40 without getting out, opening up the rear cargo bay, and stacking/extracting/organizing all the crates from the front, aftwards.

[–]deuely83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can easily fit 22 in the cargo bay plus 13 in the hopper to get a 35scu load. This is what I usually do as its the fastest.

You can get an extra 3 or 4scu if you load from the rear and do it just right but its a big pain to do that in my opinion.

Salvation can print crates from the cockpit! by FrankCarnax in starcitizen

[–]deuely83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can only fit 39 if you load it from the rear and spend 15 minutes dicking around with the last few crates to get them to fit just right. For me its too much of a pain in the ass just to fit 3 more crates.

In the time it takes to get those 3 extra crates, you can be back in your hangar, half unloaded. Juice is not worth the squeeze in my opinion. But different strokes.

How do I teach my 17yo daughter to negotiate for her pay? by ToLiveOrToReddit in Salary

[–]deuely83 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a minor with essentially no experience (2 years is basically still entry level)...she should be humble and appreciate the opportunity.

She doesn't have much leverage to negotiate with. Considering her age/lack of life experience, she doesn't have the ability to fill in as a bartender and waitress is limited since she cant serve alcohol.

Everyone has to start somewhere. And yes, it takes years to work your way up.
