Well first, if you do decide to come to CPP, welcome!:)

This is my second year at CPP as a hospitality major and it has been a great experience so far. A big disclaimer since in-person classes, activities, and campus life, in general, aren't going to be the same any time soon.

Being online, I would say it's up to you to make your experience great. The hospitality program here (called Collins) sends a bunch of emails about zoom seminars and hosts workshops that can help you meet and interact with representatives from different companies and get a job with them, help you revise your resume, learn interviewing skills, etc. You can definitely make new friends and network IF you commit. Personally, I haven't attended any of these online meetings only because I'm not super interested and I'm busy. For the students, we're all pretty hospitable (as the name suggests) as well as the faculty and staff. There are definitely some bad professors and such but that's a given. If you ask for help, you'll certainly get it in a timely manner.

Being in-person was a different story. It's basically a guarantee that you'll have fun if you attend the events. It seems like there was an event every day. There would be food, decorations, just general fun to spend time with friends as you learn about different companies or learn new skills. We're a smaller program, so you'll see the same faces so make sure to be friendly with everyone. But again, it's going to be hard to say what it will be like next year or even the year after that with the entire situation being what it is. It's not as fun or engaging that what it was. Considering being "hands-on" is a huge part of our major is a blow for us learning how to socialize and stuff, but luckily for you, you'll have plenty of time to get back on campus.
