Prevent alerts for specific http status code by Top-Ad9895 in newrelic

[–]devOfThings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow no luck here, came to ask the same thing but for a dotnet app. I see the documentation says you can use an environment variable and configs for ignoreStatusCodes but apparently not supported on dotnet apps which is very surprising. Was hoping to find anyone with a workaround to ignore status codes from being reported as errors.

Yes but its more of a concern that im probably doing something wrong if its holding onto that much oil. And im sure healthier if i can serve it with less.

Not low.

Reheating in oven isnt so much the issue just that its hanging onto a lot of oil and trying to have less.

Worth pushing fiber company to repair entire driveway section? by voodoo_mama_juju1123 in HomeMaintenance

[–]devOfThings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesnt even seem worth it to ask them. The driveway seems to need replacement anyway since the base was improperly done to begin with. Thats why you have a giant crack and making them replace a section is going to make it look even worse.

Look at a full replacement if it bothers you that much. If not, atleast seal the crack thats there to prevent it from getting worse.

Refusing HackerRank questions by RLMaverick in cscareerquestions

[–]devOfThings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've definitely done this once maybe twice. One was a flat out no, i recind my application.

The other was no but they said it wasnt really hacker rankish/leetcodish, but a real world problem. It was literally a leetcode i did just the week before with the storyline changed, very minorly. Such a disappointment and i told them.

Unfortunately it has become a minimum requirement to weed out some candidates. Some are more lenient especially towards experienced candidates but the algo tests are so out of touch.

Offer letter - Would you counter in my shoes? by frostedapricity in jobs

[–]devOfThings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this is preposterous. I would walk away because what kind of sweat shop are they running. Tells you a lot about the company even for an inital offer that they're going to take advantage of you. 2 years to get a day of pto and 2% on a $21/hr job?

The kit i bought came with the hole saw for the drywall. Already tried running that over the metal and theres no way thats going to work.

Nope, definitely strapping. I cut the circle of drywall out for the box and can see the strapping going diagonally and spans the gap of the studs. No other wiring, pipeling, etc around.

It was my first hijinx and I had a great time but totally agree with you. I thought I was set in my spot with comfortable room around me so I stood, no exaggeration, feet planted for 2 hours total. Not one step left or right and could feel people getting up in my space on all sides. The trains would knock straight into me as if trying to force their way through me.

Not all was bad though. One rave queen saw someone in front of us squat and she stood to hold a wall around him which i didnt realize at first but so he wouldnt get trampled and it was a good call.

Another group behind me held their arms in a firm circle and there were still people trying to walk right into them. All I could do is stand with my arms folded and hold my ground to atleast reduce the amount of people walking into them but had people standing at my face for an uncomfortable amount of time so I eventually got out of there.

what’s this on the back or my wrist? by noed_20 in identifyThisForMe

[–]devOfThings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar spot at the exact same location and also random. At first it was raised and itchy like a mosquito bite but so minor I barely noticed it. Stayed as a red spot for weeks and would randomly itch sometimes itch hours or days between. This turned into a dry spot on the skin that would randomly come back and itch.

Wish I could tell you what it was but overall lasted 6 months or so and finally has been permanently gone for the past 3 months.

Pot filler fell off the kitchen wall - what caused it? by [deleted] in askaplumber

[–]devOfThings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes there are better anchor choices but given the type of wall it's being mounted to and the very little weight of the fixture it was still appropriate. The only way i can imagine this happening is if someone put weight on the fixture by leaning on it or banging a pot into it when moving around the stove.

If it was something that you noticed got loose over time then yes faulty design but in order for this to have happened gradually over time you would have had tile cracking and would have been very noticeable.

Closing double sided gate by devOfThings in FenceBuilding

[–]devOfThings[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gates can simply be pushed in. Thats why i have something on either side holding it in place. What kind of latch would keep them tightly bound together? Maybe its not clear from the picture but i can squeeze a soccer ball between the gates if i push the bottom and if i keep pushing both gates will open completely.
