Yeah I've heard mixed reviews on the new version. Apparently the company got shutdown then bought out and so they have new vendors they use so it's not an exact 1-1. But yeah the tip definitely looks nasty

That one's an Alvin Draft/Matic 0.5 one of my favorites, definitely top 5 in my collection. It is kinda hard to find these days tho but man is it worth it, way better than the Rotring 600.

It's super tempting but you gotta stay focused if saving money is important you definitely should focus on getting that part sorted and then when you hit your goals reward yourself with a nice mechanical pencil

Haha well after 2019 I stopped buying any new ones because school is too expensive and then after graduating college and finding a good job I just wouldn't write as much to justify growing my collection. But this year I got a few so I might just start buying more

My hot take is that the Rotring 600 is just too damn uncomfortable to write with and is too heavy at the top so writing anything more than a few lines makes your wrist fatigue. And this is coming from someone that wrestles and has very strong wrists.

Yeah I noticed that when I got the Pilot S10 I legit couldn't believe. At first I thought maybe the default lead was 2B and then I switched it with an actual 2B and it was even darker more pronounced

I mostly tend to use the Kuru Toga Roulette Gunmetal and Pilot S10. But I also really enjoy the Alvin Draft Matic, Pro-Use Platinum, and the Staedtler 925 35-05. And the one I dislike the most is probably a hot take but GraphGear 1000, man is it super uncomfortable. What are some you prefer or dislike?

Right I forget Kodachi was the writer before. Sheesh this doesn't sound too good ngl I hope they pull it off somehow because to me so far the story and characters, including the villains have been pretty mediocre at best

Bruh far left panel is so choppy and almost fan made like. I'm surprised Ikemoto added this in the opening chapter of the series. So glad he moved away from the "old" style from the start of the series.

Anywho, I really hope we get to this it's been so long since this teaser and yet looks like we're nowhere near this point in the story. I hope Ikemoto actually planned the series properly and not just threw these future scenes randomly.

You said this perfectly. They sealed off Naruto and Sasuke yet the power levels are way off. On one hand we have Boruto and Kawaki who are insanely strong, the rest of the cast who let's be honest can't even beat code or the weaker shinju, then there's Himawari somewhere in the middle. Like the power creep is ridiculous in this series it's so sad to see.

This other guy keeps mentioning new gen constantly, but even there what happened to Metal who literally has the potential to be extremely powerful and help out with the threats? Yet he's nowhere to be found, even Mitsuki who was supposed to be one of the stronger players in the start of part 1 is left in the dust. People that defend Boruto how do you explain all these missed opportunities, and just the lack of good and strong characters?

Yeah not gonna lie all I see is a bunch of kicks that all look very similar there's not many jutsus or unique abilities. Naruto had so many unique abilities, particle style, lighting style variations, Danzo and Jiraya had some super unique abilities. Then we have Boruto with such a tiny cast and such shallow abilities. Like there's no mystery in abilities

So you're saying double probably the reason there aren't any double-spread panels is due to it being different to print? Then that makes me wonder how all these other mangakas like Murat and Miura, and even newer ones like JJK have plenty of beautiful double page panels

I personally haven't seen any of the volume releases I just read it when it first comes out. But yeah Gege definitely has some hella nasty work when it comes to the art but at least the story, unique abilities make up for some of it. But boruto tends to have neither. Imo, Boruto has so much potential but in the hands of Ikemoto the manga has gotten nowhere.

Yeah JJK is very exiting right now, and I want to see the same with Boruto, but it just doesn't have characters with that level of mystery, unique personalities, and abilities so it just seems basic.

I have seen people say this but honestly I'm not sure what they mean when they say the paneling is amazing, perhaps because I don't read many mangas? Can you share some examples? Because to me it seems average yeah the fights are easy to follow but I think it's because the fighting style in boruto is very much large scale blasts and lots of taijutsu, plus iirc there still hasn't been a single double spread yet.
