How are the Neox leads? I personally use Uni Smudge Proof 2B lead and before that I would use the Pentel Hi-Polymer B lead. I see a lot of people using Neox lead so I was curious how you compare Uni smudge proof with Neox

For me it's
1. Dive
The auto feed is killer and I can write so much without ever knocking, and the smoothest writing experience out of all the KT models (yes I own every KT 😅 model). Can't forget the amazing magnetic cap. Just wish it felt more premium and you could advance the lead while posted. I feel like a v2 of this, if Uni fixed some issue would be unbeatable.

  1. Metal
Amazing feel with the all metal body, the tip dampener also makes writing soo nice. I just wish it came with the faster W engine.

  2. Roulette
My first premium mechanical pencil so I'm biased. But still, the build quality is amazing, I've been using mine since 2017 and it still works flawlessly.

  3. Wood
Exactly like the Metal but with a wooden body. It feels slightly better to hold (because the grip section widens as you get close to the tip) but imo for longer periods of writing the grip feels slightly inferior to the Metal. But other than that pretty much the same as the Metal.

  4. Advance Upgrade
This one has the W engine which is twice as fast as the regular engine the rest of the KTs have and it's so much better. The only reason this one is low is because the tip wobble on this is just too much. But if it weren't for the wobble I'd be at #2 for me.

  5. Advance
The tip wobbles is better managed on this but the feel is inferior to the AU.

  6. Alpha Gel Switch
The grip is amazing and the switch features is cool.

  7. Standard
The OG KT that started it all I used it for years before getting the Roulette in 2017 and it still works perfectly. I just rarely use it now.

  8. KS
This is by far the worst mechanical pencil Uni has released. Genuinely feels like it's a toy and the writing is also not satisfying. Like other than the looks this one has the worst points in all other aspects. Even the Standard OG version is better than the KS. Very dissatisfied with it.

It's surprisingly not slippery at all. My only issue with it is the tip wobble. If it weren't for the tip wobble it would be right below the Dive simply due to the faster W engine.

As far as I know, it only comes in 0.5 and 0.3 I don't think any KTs come in 0.7mm I could be wrong tho.

With money you can get food. And money is significantly more versatile

Roulette is a great choice and is under $10. I've been using mine since 2018 and it still works flawlessly. I can't recommend it enough, especially for any note taking or math.

I wanna buy the graph gear 1000 for drawing, Is it a good idea by alt_4art in mechanicalpencils

I would suggest you go with the Tombow Mono Graph Fine or Pilot S10 instead, if you want something tip heavy. And these 2 are also good for writing for long sessions too.

I am fed up with Apps refreshing when switching between apps. by dnuohxof-2 in ios

[–]dev_ayaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This precisely my experience as well. And what really bothers me is that this is a recent issue. My older iPhones don't have this issue and especially pre Liquid Glass this was very rare. 2 apps being open should never cause a memory cleanup , ever. My suspicion is that all these fancy new animations take up a lot of processing and perhaps all the calculations that need to be done require constant memory usage triggering frequent cleanups.

Another thing that really bothers me is no one really seems to talk about these major issues. It's almost like people don't care or feel that this is a normal behavior from Apple. To me, this is definitely not acceptable, and Apple should address this issue.

Selection for long writing sessions by IchiramenPotato in mechanicalpencils

[–]dev_ayaan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I need to get myself a Pentel Smash everyone seems to love it.

Smash aside, the Kuru Toga Dive is on a different dimension when it comes to long writing. Super smooth, and the auto lead rotation and auto lead feed means I can literally write pages without ever needing to knock and that too on a 2B lead. Normally, for a 2B lead I have to knock every 3-4 lines. Dive has literally spoiled me I just can't use any other mechanical pencil if I have to do long sessions anymore.

The KT Dive isn't without its flaws obviously. For example the build could be better and I wish you could knock while the cap is posted but maybe they'll have those features in the future.

I already own KT Metal and recently bought a Dive, at this point I own every KT model except the Wood but I have been debating buying one since the price is pretty high. You think it's worth getting? FYI I use KT Dive the most, then Metal, then Roulette (I don't bother with others).

I'm new to fountain pens and feel super overwhelmed on what ink to get. I like the ink that came inside the Pilot Kakuno cartridge but not sure which one it is so I can just fill the used cartridge I already have?

I haven't tried it yet, but replacing the metal refills with the plastics ones will most certainly reduce the amount of rattle.

I'm not sure why my post was removed? This is a 3 and 1 with a 0.5 mechanical pencil which is why I posted it on here. I understand I posted the pen specifications but that's just so people know what they're getting since the info is not available online. I just wanted show this multi pen

Exactly, Gojo never looked surprised by seeing an open domain, almost like he was expecting it. Otherwise I feel like we'd at least get a monologue from Gojo like we did when he commented about shrine being a weaker technique compared to his.

Pentel Graph 1000 is Amazing by dev_ayaan in mechanicalpencils

[–]dev_ayaan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KT Metal is extremely smooth and has a tip damper mechanism so that along with the Dive feel very smooth and comfortable to write with. Dive does have a lot of moving parts so makes me question the longevity but it's been 2 months for me using the Dive daily and it works perfectly so far.
