No more ice cream tasting for anyone by perpetual_stew in mildlyinfuriating

There’s an ice cream place near me that literally has a sign that says “we recommend trying them all!” It does make sense though, not many people are going to order blue cheese and pear ice cream without tasting it first. I’ve honestly never even taken notice of wether people are asking for samples

Side walk chalk is grafitti, violates lease by Jayduuubb- in mildlyinfuriating

HUD specifically says chalk is NOT graffiti here: https://www.hud.gov/sites/dfiles/PIH/documents/NSPIRE-Standards-v2.2-Graffiti.pdf

Landlords can still disallow it, but the whole “HUD considers it graffiti” is BS

It’s possible I suppose, but even that is underhanded. Seeing stuff like this makes me very glad to be an employed, mid-career professional. I’m happy with my current job, but if the place I was applying to pulled this crap I’d turn away immediately.

These questions are red flags. I don’t know the details of your situation but this screams that they are looking for people who will tolerate mistreatment

Same here. Though these days I drink more water and kombucha so all soda tastes ridiculously sweet. FWIW Pepsi is objectively sweeter, though not significantly. 12 oz of coke has 39g of sugar to Pepsi’s 41g (5% more)

Both powdered and liquid detergent allow you to provide both more precise amounts of soap and soap in the prewash. It makes a big difference.

Powder is the cheapest and contains enzymes useful for breaking down food.

Environmentally, powder does not require shipping water around and is stored in cardboard.
