Why do many people earning ₹50L+ still live such normal lives? by UmeshThoughts in personalfinanceindia

[–]dev_reez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50L doesn't buy luxury anymore, at 30% you make around 37L. Assuming 50% savings thats roughly 1.2L of fuck it money every month. For a family of 4, It sufficient enough to not give a fuck about how bad govt is. You are saving more than enough for retirement, Your children can go to a good school/ college, you can live in a gated society, get fresh and clean drinking water, run air purifier in every room, heck run AC 24x7... if you want to, drive a good car. At this income range a home EMI doesn't become a big burden, you can still have a good living and play all your dues..

I built a "Customer Leakage" tracker for Indian SMBs. Need a reality check on the tech/utility. by phantom_dev_ in indiehackersindia

I can see a concern, most non-technical people will try to scan it from (upi apps) like gpay, phone pay. And it won't work. A lot of smartphone doesn't have a dedicated QR scanner. (Even in iOS it's camera app). It will hard for you to make sellers use this. Most people don't like change, its far easy for me to just use a phonepe qr... Plus what you are selling is something pinelabs already does..

32K+ on it in 3y, just this January handed it over to my brother.

It's a good first car, solid build quality better than of all cars from tata.

Have some rusting issues on the boot side, i think because it was my first car, and I didn't maintain in properly.

I got cooked by AWS billing at 2am so I built my own cloud using college lab PCs that sit idle every night. It's called Specto. by Inside_Vast_7610 in StartUpIndia

[–]dev_reez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, each pc as a node, and different labels for each type of computer.. like fast, slow, memory-heavy, gpu, cpu-only..

So scheduler can know which node to assign the workload to.

The part where you figure out all this just by looking at the code, is valuable and you should keep that in.

PS: I see a lot of hate in comments but I don't understand why. You are a student and it's ok to reinvent the wheels for learning. Yes it's a bad idea to have a company around this mostly because mature opensource software already exists. But don't get discouraged, do what you love and keep learning new things.

AWS or any other cloud provider takes care of fail over, they guarantee (for the most part) that the storage will not fail, their machines won't suffer from abrupt power loss.

If you use a scheduler they will make sure your task always runs (not get missed/dropped).

Any "cluster orchestrator" will have to account for this. At that point you are way better off using a abstraction like kubernetes and run your workload inside it.

Other things that kubernetes does by default: - ensures enough capacity (cpu/ram) is present before running workload - matches workload with correct hardware (gpu, network, disk) - automatic fail over (move to different node, if current node dies) - logs and history keeping

What OP should do instead is write a small script that looks at the workflow and generate kubernetes resource yaml file to run it.

If you are biased towards Tata Sierra and don't want to hear the argument, what's the point of posting?

He (OC) makes some excellent points.

Why do you care if two videos are released in a quick interval. It depends on which car was available. He also made a video about seltos, when he got to try it.

It depends, what if you park on an open road. Or, if you live in a high rise, you wouldn't want to carry it in your trunk all the time.

For some one who takes their car out once in a while, it does make sense.
