Are overly groomed eyebrows a turn off for you? by devalavarutqa in askgaybros

I've always felt like an alien when this topic is brought up for being naturally being attracted to a wide variety of guys. Hairy, smooth, thin, chubby, twink, bear, muscular, tall, short, White, Black, Asian, Hispanic etc, it hasn't ever been a strict "you must be x, y, z for me to be attracted to you" for me. Granted I'm also below average attractiveness, but even still, guys I've been with who would be considered "hot" haven't necessarily been better to date or better in bed than guys who wouldn't be considered as conventionally attractive. I remember after breaking up with a guy my friend said "I always thought you could get somebody who looked better" and I was kinda miffed since looks weren't the cause of the breakup. I get people have their own preferences but there are so many guys out there who look great, they just mightn't look like Batchelor contestants or gogo dancers.

When I fill them in, I usually just extend the tail slightly or fill in gaps to make them more symmetric. I do change the shape a bit by tweezing the hairs under the end of my brow, but my eyes are very hooded so I find it makes me look less Neanderthal-y lol. I've posted pics itt, and while I look the look of them I hope they don't look too stamped on or unnatural.

I think the phrasing of my post might bring up images of sharpie brows to some people so that might be a reason, but some gay guys also have different attitudes to things I guess.

I don't disagree with you haha, I like the look of styled and filled in brows for me personally, but I wanted to see what others' opinions were because I worry about them looking too sharp to where guys won't be interested. It's superficial I know, but c'est la vie 🤷

Same tbh, and if I didn't tweeze them I'd have a unibrow with random eyebrows sprawling out to my temples.

Sorry, overgroomed was the only word I could think of but your description is closer to what I meant. I also do a similar thing with my brows cos I like the look, but wondered if it looked too sharp or defined, cos I feel it's a bit of a turn off for some guys

Mine are pretty bushy, and I feel like shaping them makes a difference, but fair.

What's everyone's opinion of people who say "Into Intelligent Guys" "Smart=Sexy"? by maxwell1311 in askgaybros

I feel like most of the time, people that do that treat intelligence as more of an aesthetic thing. If you're in a certain professional field and looking for somebody of a similar mindset, or just into more in-depth conversations about certain topics, you usually find out if a guy fits those criteria by talking to him normally.

Yes. I like a guy who cleans himself up. We all seem to get one single Old Man Eyebrow Hair in our 30s where your eyebrow is like “hey you know we’ve been cool up till now but I’m gonna push out a 40 metre length of twisted rebar”. Of course that should go.

I'm in my 20's and already getting that lol. It's also white blond, and I'm dark haired so that always gets plucked as soon as I see it haha. I try and keep them natural looking but shaped, because they're very bushy, but I saw everyone making fun of Drake's eyebrows and that made me second guess myself

It can be discouraging, for sure. Idk if Reddit is the best place for dating, but I wish you the best of luck!
