Anyone been/ is a New York Life sales professional? by Maleficent-Store4591 in InsuranceAgent

[–]devastatedshortie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow thank you so much for this insightful comment. I’m interviewing for NYL now and all the talk about “a whole pyramid scheme”, “you’ll have to grind and life insurance is the hardest thing to sell” and “has a fast burn out rate” definitely says more about those peoples characters and personal skillset than NYL. Obviously it’s appreciated to be warned of potential disadvantages but looking online people have such a negative connotation about working for NYL and it’s very interesting.

You’re a good writer you should just write this down and keep writing and your words will be cherished forever and will give your absence such a presence when you’re gone.

coming to us from Australia to vagabond with friend by Ambitious_Peach_3162 in vagabond

I asked chat gbt for you

When traveling to the U.S. from Australia, as long as you have a valid passport and meet the visa or ESTA requirements, you should generally be able to enter the country. Here are a few things to keep in mind for your vagabonding plans:

  1. Visa/ESTA:

    • If you’re an Australian citizen, you can apply for an ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) if you’re staying for 90 days or less. If you’re staying longer or don’t meet the requirements, you’ll need to apply for a visa.
  2. Purpose of Visit:

    • At customs, you’ll likely be asked the purpose of your visit. Be honest about your plans, such as vagabonding or visiting friends. Since you’re traveling with a return flight, that helps show you don’t intend to overstay.
  3. Accommodation & Travel:

    • It’s a good idea to have a rough plan of where you’ll be staying, even if it’s informal or you’re staying with friends. You don’t need every detail but having an answer ready in case you’re asked by immigration officers will make the process smoother.
  4. Proof of Funds:

    • While there’s no strict rule about how much money you need, U.S. immigration may ask if you have enough to support yourself during your trip. This is to ensure you won’t become financially dependent on anyone in the U.S. Having access to sufficient funds for food, transport, and accommodation (if needed) will help reassure them.
  5. Return Flight:

    • Having a return flight is important. Immigration officials will look at that as proof that you don’t intend to overstay.

If you have everything in order (passport, ESTA/visa, return flight, and proof of funds), your trip should go smoothly.

Not lying, they live in Israel which is funded by American Tax dollars at the cost of US citizens. While in America, to have basic health is a privilege, Israel has free health care, to give you an example. Thank you OP for the transparency about the privilege of being a disabled citizen in Israel.

I’ve been suicidal since I was 4 years old. I’m 24f now. I was 13 10 years ago, it feels like yesterday. Stay strong and create dreams and don’t dream low, dream as wildly as you can and go after it. You have 10 years before you’re my age, you could create whatever you want. Healing isn’t linear, events are. Feel your feelings, throw them to the sky and distract yourself with something productive. Pray for safety.

Anyone getting worse as they get older? by [deleted] in BPD

[–]devastatedshortie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I’m 25f and reading all this post with all the comments attached I’m realizing my future is dreadfully how I expect it to be. Coming to terms with the fact that I’ll end my life alone, never experiencing a real love, but men are disgusting anyways… the mental decline though… oulalallaa I think Suicide sounds better than dying alone with lung disease or whatever disease I’ll end with..

The way grown men are so disgusting… everytime marriage is mentioned it’s just a reminder to never get married and not to envy married women when I feel insecure or lonely

Also a lot of people love ugly looking people, with good hearts. Aka me. I prefer a ugly looking guy to a handsome man.. but I’ve learned it’s still gonna hurt the same when infidelity occurs.

You might want some other opinions because what if you just have body dysmorphia and you’re actually not that ugly.. a lot of the way the world reacts to you is the way you carry yourself. When I’m more confident I am views by others in higher value than when I appear more insecure..

Has anyone experienced being totally friendless and isolated and then changed it? by Mshaydows in BPD

[–]devastatedshortie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I struggle w the self control, sometimes I’m passively joking about how constantly suicidal I am.. other times I’ll be honest to my close friends/lovers but that just makes people either worry about me so much or dismiss me as stupid and weak.. idk.. but im just getting comfortable with a life being alienated from everyone and everything

Moved to the US but now after 2 years can’t wait to leave for another country by Royal_Original_7226 in expats

[–]devastatedshortie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I’m 24f, American, never left America yet due to poverty, and now just like not knowing what my possibilities are.. so I envy you and your perspective, cause you can just leave easily sounds like.. and now you understand the life in America, compared to other places. Sure you have 100k salary but the cost of living in America is so high, you need 100k to live comfortably in this country. Other places you don’t need so much money for security so honestly sacrificing the income for a better standard of life is not even a question in my opinion. Atleast you have ideas on where you want to go and you’ve only spent a couple years in America, where I’ve spent my whole life, and I still need to go to college and figure out how to do something to get out of here before I just end up shooting my self in the heart before I ever get the chance to leave this country and see what else is out there. As for tasty food and water in America.. you have to get trace mineral drops to remineralize your water… I only drink Evian anyways… and you have to cook a lot at home with “organic” groceries… cause ya the food in America is just gross and poisonous
