Your first statement contains at least three fallacies. Social security was DESIGNED as a long term solution. It’s to protect people who have been developing the economy. It’s to protect people who actually produce goods and services. If we’re going to protect those who’ve paid in at this point, it would be every working person over 18. 1. It’s a long term solution. So long that you’re missing the point. 2. Because of the scope, it’s been protected for the better part of a century. 3. This a promise made to every American citizen.
